This historic Gothic mansion sits in tranquil parkland on the Cotswold Edge, beside the Severn Valley and close to Bristol. It offers fine dining, a leisure club, and spacious, traditional rooms.

In the Cotswold village of Frampton Mansell, The Crown Inn is a 17th-century ‘cider house’ with log fires, traditional home-cooked food, locally brewed real ales and good company!
Score from 133 reviews Fabulous
The location is perfect for travellers to Stroud, next door to the station, parking available and close to the town centre.
There was a lot of noise late at night, the staff in the morning were not very helpful when I was in a hurry to check out. The evening staff were much more helpful and friendly.
The room was lovely
I couldn't talk to the staff because they didn't seem to speak very good English. I had to explain myself in simple English about 5 or 6 times for them to still get it wrong. Very difficult when booking for a large group for a work event.
The free breakfast
We came over from Sydney and got abit confused with the roads around it
Liked the fact that the hotel was very central and had a car park. Easy to walk to the shops and restaurants. Good breakfast.
Didn't like the noise at night from late night drinkers (possibly from Weatherspoons next door) and taxis slamming doors until all hours.
Luxurious touches in bedroom Excellent breakfast Welcoming staff
Bathroom was big and clean
Breakfast / the restaurant
The room was spacious, clean and lovely decorated.
Not being able to order a hot chocolate at 9.30pm on a Sunday evening. A menu to choose Breakfast. Milk, butter and selection of jam on our table instead of having to get everything ourselves in stages . A tray to carry items on Staff that were a little more willing to speak and please the customers. Staff to be warm welcoming there was no conversation with any of them. Bubble bath/ shower gel in room instead of having to ask for it.
Room ok mattress on bed poor need to move bedside tables to vacuum downstairs public area needs a good clean breakfast area tablecloth would have helped
Good size clean bedroom with comfortable bed.
Staff pleasant but had very poor understanding of English Bar area = reception desk, dark and old fashioned No lift Late night noise from nearby Weatherspoons
Breakfast. Lady doing everything brilliant.
Steep stairs. No comfortable chairs in room. Restricted car parking because non residents used it. Sign required at car park entrance "Patrons parking only". No rail in bath/shower. Mattress in room 110 nearest window has its springs sticking up.
Noise, loose fittings, staircase dirty, decived by pics on advert, price!
It has an unpretentious laid back feel about which suits me down to the ground and I like Thai food and the good there was was very good as well
The beds were very uncomfortable
Excellent breakfast Very helpful and friendly staff
Single glazed windows make the rooms quite noisy
Value for money Really good breakfast Friendly staff Management very helpfull
Pitty there was no lift but we managed
No ceiling light in bedroom. Had to use phone torch. Noisy extractor fan next to window. I slipped over in the shower on the safety mate. Staff were not concerned about any of my issues.
Location was good. Staff were friendly and breakfast was good. We did enjoy our stay, and would come again but would ask for a different room.
Bed was uncomfortable, toilet was hard to flush, tiles were wobbly on bathroom floor and there was noise from neighbouring pub.
could do with more storage space
Shabby, bed hard and lumpy, badly organised room, poorly organised breakfast, poor security, grossly over-priced
Central position very friendly and helpful staff Comfortable Easy check out Warm Welcome
Nosy air-conditioning or refrigeration unit outside the room.
the shower was not very powerful
Nice location and view
confusion upon arrival as to room etc. Hotel very warm especially in corridors
friendly and efficient service. Parking facility centre of town good beds/bedding great breakfast excellent Thai restaurant
