The Inn On The Lake  

The staff are all very friendly and the procedure to book in is very easy. The hotel is well kept and the rooms are a good size and always clean and well maintained. The views are fantastic, whether on the lakeside or on fell side. The gardens are lovely to wander around in, even to the waters edge. The food in the restaurant is to an excellent standard and service is unobtrusive yet friendly and helpful when required. The Inn on the Lake is a restful atmosphere to shake off city life, the mobile phone and drink in recovery.

I liked the lovely setting of the hotel. Our room was small but luxurious. The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Although it had leisure facilities it would of been nice if there was a pool. Apart from that we couldn't fault the hotel.

The peacefulness and settings were lovely, comfortable rooms and excellent choice for breakfast, but not too impressed on dinner menu choice, very highly priced at £37 without a drink !!! (per person)

Drinks were pretty pricey in hotel and "The Ramblers" bar food wasn't too impressive

Everything, we were married there 5 years ago on the 6th so wanted to go back for the night of our 5th anniversary

The bar bill but thats nobodys fault but ours!

The Inn was comfortable, clean with a great setting. The service was excellent.

The decor is in need of an update. a swimming pool and beauty spa would be good.

The location. The freshly cooked breakfast and lovely evening meal with a good selection for vegetarians.

The 4 poster room was in keeping but thought the decor could do with modernising, also the lobby of the hotel is dated. There was an abundant selection of cake for afternoon tea which could have been swapped for more sandwiches.

The hotel was the venue for our friends wedding. We felt totally cared for throughout our stay in a beautiful setting.

The chairs in the lounge/bar areas could maybe do with a more modern feel at some point, but still very comfortable

Excellent location, very clean and well kept hotel and grounds. Definate plus that our dog was allowed to stay also.

The location is excellent , good place to unwind and relax . The staff were very friendly , welcoming , and helpful.

The room was well furnished with balcony , but on the small side. As we came for 4 nights there was not much hanging space for clothes. A bit pricy , but the view from the room was spectacular.

Going home

The female rececptionist on arrival and the same on departure was I felt very rude and unhelpful.the food was very exspensive and not very nice this goes for all of the meals. The room was tired as was the decour in the rest of the hotel.
