The Jolly Tar Inn

Set in a great location, a beautiful little village. Lovely room, set in converted stables alongside the pub and very comfortable bed. Quiet location so a great night's sleep. The owners were very friendly and could not do enough to make me feel welcomed. Excellent food. All in all fantastic value for money. I will definitely return!

Lovely old pub with great hosts. Very friendly. Rooms were in an old barn outside the pub but next to parking etc. rooms very modern with good facilities. Bar food ad breakast were great

I received a very warm welcome. All the staff were helpful and keen to make sure I had everything I wanted and that my stay was comfortable.

It would be nice to have a comfortable place to sit. Wifi in rooms would be a bonus.

Only stayed for the 1 night, room was spotless, warm & detatched from the inn. Staff were very pleasant & helpful. Food and drink was A+. I would definetly stay again and recommend this for both accomadation & or food. Nothing negative to add.

Lovely food in a nice old Inn. Cheerful friendly landlord, efficient staff. Great eating dinner on a summers evening on the patio and a delicous breakfast in the conservary. Tastefully decorated room. Would return.

Very clean comfy room tastefully decorated . Lovely country village pub , very friendly hosts and locals. Good location for sightseeing - Avebury Marlborough etc and good walking area. Restaurant of good quality pub food too . In all a very pleasant relaxing break.

A charming old pub with friendly staff and excellent local beers on tap. The accommodation was comfortable and is in a separate building from the pub, which helps keep noise down.

Hot water was a bit limited, like most uk country inns.

Landlord very friendly and helpful, room was lovely. No hard selling to have food at the inn in fact he recommended an indian restaraunt that was top notch.

Toilets were outside the main establishment not good in the pouring rain. Beer tasted ok but appeared to be flat

very friendly staff, good food and atmosphere in the bar/lounge. more than adequate room space and facilities. Breakfast, even though i was the only guest was exceptional

no complaints at all.....although blackout curtains are my preference.

It was a totally relaxed envoironment the area is outstanding the owners are fantastic they really do look after you nothing was to much trouble the room was very spacious comfortable and very clean The food was superb I couldnt say a single thing against this place well worth a stay and will definetly return again

The room is warm and clearn.Severce is very nice and friendly .The Breakfast is good and the dinner is very nice. The boss is very kind. Waiter is very nice.

The fan of next room has little noise in the night.
