The food was of a good standard and plentifully with a good choice. Seating in the lounge and bar area was very comfortable. And the service and staff was excellent.
The road noise from passing traffic. The loud talking and shouting from people in the Smoking Area in front of the main entrance until the early hours of the morning.
We paid for breakfast but had to leave early. The lady on reception arranged for some sandwiches to be collected on check out.
I booked the hotel as I was traveling with a caravan. I was told by reception that they had coach parking outside and I could leave my car and caravan outside the reception. There was no coach park and I was lucky to find 2 spaces as there was a wedding on. The room was dirty and only 2 towels in the room for a family of 3. The TV was a 12 inch LCD but was at the other end of the room, needing a telescope to see it..
We stayed here whilst on the way to the channel tunnel. This is a family run hotel and this shows by the friendliness of the staff. From the minute we walked in we felt welcome. The restaraunt is excellent with a good choice of vegetarian meals ('stuffed butternut squash' for one and not the usual veg. lasagna you get in most places that lack inspiration). We would not hesitate to stay here again.
The surrounding area is not pleasant to walk out into with nowhere to eat if you didn't want to eat in the hotel (would only be a problem if the hotel restaraunt was not good). No air conditioning in bedrooms and it was extremely hot the night we stayed.
Can knot get a cup tea in after wee had out for cup tea in Gillingham you should get a cup a tea at hotel
Staff friendly and helpful. Room comfortable I wasn't troubled by any noise from other guests. People obviously using it to stay while exploring the area . Good breakfast with staff happy to meet individual needs. Good value for money.
The hotel felt a bit tired paintwork needed refreshing and carpets worn in places Having tissues in the room would be helpful Lighting in dining room a bit dim
Excellent friendly and helpful reception staff Nice room layout Cheap Good parking facilities
Breakfast was luke warm, overcooked and poor. Bathroom sink didn't look like it had been cleaned in a year Shower dribbled out the water. Staff arguing loudly in the middle of the breakfast room!
The comfort and friendliness of the hotel was a big plus. The location meant all tourist sites were within easy reach. The car park was a major benefit.
Warm welcome Good quality pillows/mattress Good quality food at breakfast Later checkout i.e. 12pm
Check-in too lengthy - should all be electronically completed not handwritten forms Rooms - outdated decor Orange juice at breakfast too sweet
It was great experience in this hotel. We enjoy a lot.
Only problem was far from beach that's it
Locality. Staff friendliness and efficiency, Food.
Only one niggle in that our bathroom was dirty around shower and the gap inbetween wash basin and shower was very dirty. I did make these remarks on my questionnaire.
accommodation fitted our needs very well, staff were very friendly and helpful, beds were comfortable and linen was clean
breakfast food was plentiful and varied but not best quality, shower base needed some attention and a good clean, furniture had seen better days
Spacious, comfy room. English breakfast.
Duvet too warm for summer. "Medical" smell of bathroom cleaner.
Staff very good and friendly Breakfast very good, but evening meals over cooked and soup cold chips chewy, not nice. the cook did not pay attention to taste.
Cleanlyness of the bathroom one chair in a small room and very noisy with smoke from outside coming into the room Bedding far too warm for summer, with plastic sheets under the sheet.
Excellent choice of bar meals.
the food was excellent. staff friendly, rooms comfortable.
The restaurant definitely needs some kind of air-con,it was awful .Infact ,the whole hotel needs air-con .How the staff work in it is beyond me.Other than that for the price ,can't complain
price was good, room was very big, a little dated but good value for money
too hot in bedroom
Location was good for us.
We unfortunately had to share the hotel with a wedding and the party/disco music was very load in our family room, which was a shame because it was nice to find a hotel that could accommodate us as a family of 5. Hotel is quite dated but our room was clean and tidy and the beds were comfortable.
it was good because we could bring the dog with us and there was even a place you could eat your breakfast with your dog instead of putting your dog the car when its a hot day there was at least six dogs in the hotel when we were there and there wasn't a bit of bother from them
it was really hot in the rooms and there was only thick duvets only a bedspread was needed
Easy to reach Chatham Docks. The staff were polite and helpful. Lovely garden at the back.
Front of the hotel very disappointing and the decor was tired in places. No fan in the bathroom.
Staff Cleanliness Breakfast Comfort Cleanliness Good value for money
Can get a bit noisy at night No gym No laundry
Restaurant was very good and staff excellent. Very helpful.
Location, comfort, pleasant and friendly staff. Lovely garden, plenty of parking and lovely large room. The bar food was very good.
Set evening meal. Very small pollock fillet which was disappointing given the rest of the food was okay. Also, the roast potatoes seemed to be a combination of roast and saute, an odd mix.
