size of room
smelly and dirty carpet, smelly corridor not the cleanest towels noise from the main street if open window
Staff were friendly
The hotel is very dated. Rooms were really hot and the breakfast room was uncomfortably hot- even the staff were fanning themselves! I don't understand why they couldn't serve teas/coffees at breakfast as they had a lot of staff on.
No mat in shower. Shower tray slippery when wet No grab handle in shower
Friendly staff professionally run hotel.very clean, i was impressed
There wasn't anything i could pick holes in !
staff, peacfull at night, bar, food, gardens, location.
Staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfasts were hot and tasty and the staff ensured they were served promptly with a smile.
Rooms were in need of a hoover.
Location, easy access to London, Bluewater and the RE barracks for the reunion.
Breakfast overcooked and toasting arrangements very, very poor, the toaster does not work properly hence long queues.
Always made welcome on arrival. The restaurant/bar staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are not stylish but are comfortable and clean and the beds are comfortable. The bar food is good too.
The breakfast - I don't like sausages so asked for "no sausage", but that wasn't replaced with extra bacon or anything. Also, my fried egg was hard.
10 of family and friends met in the lounge and had a good evening on the Tuesday evening then on Wednesday evening one of my cousins came to meet at us at .the hotel.
Not a lot.
Great simple food
Price!!! Probably best price/quality ever; I've experienced better quality but had to pay many times the price. In general, everything was likeable.
Location is the only negative: unless you want to go to Royal Engineers museum, King Charles is a bit far from everything.
Comfortable and quiet hotel.
Breakfast - the tea was weak and undrinkable and there was no choice of alternative teas.
Friendly staff. Kids loved the fish. Good breakfast.
Hotel is looking a bit tired & tall bunk beds under a suspended ceiling didn't really work.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
Towels dull, grey and hard on the skin. Cups and spoons were dirty and you could see needed washing. Carpets not cleaned daily. Pillow cases were dirty on arrival with hair on them.
The food is excellent ,very friendly staff and comfortable beds
The location of the hotel is great especially as it's within prime location to shops and train station The room was more then what I expected for the price the room was so spacious
Two bad things were that I didn't see the point of having a separate room for the toilet and having no sink in there and there was massive cracks on the wall but nothing that has put me off going back there big thumbs up
So many things. This hotel needs a MAJOR flip: 1. Horrific internet - takes forever to log on, is super slow, cuts out nonstop 2. Rooms need work as it looks worn 3. No fridge 4. No a/c 5. No screens on windows and so if you open them at night you end up with many lovely insects in your room in the morning 6. Tiny TV 7. Housekeeping bangs on doors at 9 everyday to clean 8. Housekeeping staff hangs out outside our doors EVERY morning and have long loud conversations about their personal lives which is super annoying 8. You can hear everything that happens in the hallway 9. The room phone is super old and doesn't have a volume option 10. Breakfast is absolutely inedible 11. Price of rooms are high for what they really are and lack of amenities in rooms 12. Bathroom towels are all mismatched and many have holes in them 13. There is a loud speaker system in the halls with people from the lobby constantly paging members of staff Overall a terrible experience. Stay away if you can..
Friendly staff. Room fine for the four of us would stay there again
Noisy until the early hours outside, but too hot to have the window open.
Service from all staff both in reception and restaurant. Quality and choice of food in bar food and breakfast.
General cleanliness could do with some improvement. For example, the cups with the tea making kit in the room had to be changed as they were stained, a spoon in the restaurant had what looked like dried porridge on it.
The hotel is built in a dip so no Internet access which was distressing for me
Friendly and helpful staff, rooms very clean
The corridor and the room smells of old pee
Breakfast nice staff
The additional family room was accessed only from the main room. This was ideal for us as it meant the children could get to sleep early without being disturbed.
We would have liked to have been able to borrow a night light for the childrens room as the installed lights were too bright.
space for 5 and a dog
Friendly staff. Excellent restaurant + bar with varied menu and good food. Large bedroom + en suite with big shower + window - no extractor fan!!
Terrible towels - old, grey + rough.
