The food was good and the staff were helpful I did not like the room we were given, it was very old, the beds were uncomfortable and the bathroom floor left a lot to be desired!. We left after one night as the weather was very bad. |

staff were very caring despite the filthy rooms, and noise factors needs basic cleaning, and the removal of a burger van all night outside the hotel bedrooms |

The location and staff The hotel was very overpriced, I stayed in a 'superior room' £89 per night and the TV had only 4 channels, the decor is very jaded and is in need of refurbishment |

Yes - to start with they did not have our reservtation, they did however give us a room after we showed them the confirmation booking. Room had been used as a changing room for bridal party confettii on floor, cobwebs in room thick dust under furniture, writing on mirrors. courteous and helpful staff; nice restaurant; comfortable beds; central location rather old-fashioned shower in bathroom (ran off taps, no shower curtain so bathroom got wet); room rather dark (window very small). |

Good, central location. Despite there being no hotel car parking, there was free parking a short distance away, as well as free overnight parking overnight up till 9am outside the hotel. Berwick is also a lovely town with wonderful walks around the walls and by the River Tweed. Very noisy at night time from main street with any window open. However, our room was directly above the street; it would be quieter elsewhere in the hotel. |

The staff were quite helpful and friendly The decor was very out of date and the bathroom facilities were not of a suitable standard, ie: our shower was just an attachment to the bath taps and there was no means of controlling the temperature. Would have been very easy to scald yourself. Also, although the hotel states all rooms are en-suite our bathroom was outside the room! The noise level from the street outside was unacceptable. |
