The historic Lamb dates back to the 12th century and offers a pub, dining room and individually styled bedrooms with satellite TV. Stonehenge is a 25 minute drive away. The building retains plenty of its original character and features including inglenook fireplaces, flag-stone floors and heavy wooden beams. Each room has a spacious bathroom with toiletries and free Wi-Fi access. Outside is a heated, covered terrace where you can enjoy a Havana cigar or one of 200 malt whiskeys. Inside you will also find a sitting room and meeting room. The Lamb Inn sits in the middle of the charming Wiltshire village of Hindon and is only 20 minutes from Salisbury and Longleat Safari Park. By 1870 The Lamb was a coaching inn that supplied horses for coaches to London and the West Country. VERY helpful staff - courteous too. Nice olde worlde feel. A proper English country inn, made better by gorgeous church bells on Sunday morning. Comfy bed too. We liked all of it.

The location was great. The tables outside on the patio were lovely to sit out when the sun was shining. The four poster bed was super. The bedroom was very small. The shower leaked and the plug hole of the shower did not work properly so I had to remove it otherwise the shower would have overflowed onto the bathroom floor. Cleanliness of the room was not up to scratch. The hotel's decor seemed tired and in much need of a revamp. The breakfast was average - I asked for crispy bacon twice and it wasn't!

Excellent food. Very efficient and friendly staff. Family lunch for 12 was a great success. Very good value for money Bedroom comfortable but rather warm, even with heating turned off and window open!

We were offered a free upgrade upon arrival, beautiful room and staff friendly and helpful. Food on the same level as Belgravia and Canary Wharf, what one would expect from the Boisdale. Excellent shower in room and we shall definately stay there again and maybe combine with a trip to the races. .No complaints whatsoever

Great little pub very relaxing, had our meal next to the inglenook fireplace with candles on the table very romantic. Food very good best pub meal we have had for a while and wine and spirit collection exceptional.Service quick and attentive. Lovely room with four poster bed which was very and cosy, lots of good quality toiletries in bathroom. Locals in the pub were very friendly and fun, dont believe all the negative stuff its a great place to stay we will go again. No breakfast included in our stay but for the price we did not mind, you could choose to have breakfast at a small charge if you wanted to, but we brought our own pan-o-chocolate and had them in bed with coffee which was nice.

The lamb inn is a beautiful building both inside and out. Set in a delightful quiet village, pace of life was turned down a few notches for 24 hours. There is attention to detail in the room, restaurant and bar. We will definitely return Genuinely nothing to put down without being ridiculous

The staff, hospitality, service and accommodation was excellent. In spite of the disappointing lunch, we will come again! The food didnt quite live up to what was expected. We had the day's special which came to the table overcooked (the cod/trout) and too dry (the slow cooked pork). It was a bit over priced.

Good ambience , traditional Pub feel with open fires and good grub . Friendly , helpful staff . The Glenfiddich Room , described as their best , lacked a sensibly designed bathroom with shower cubicle that retained water whilst showering . a bath with easily removable plug . We found it impossible to remove plug after bathing . The Room pervades a musty smell . In other ways quite comfortable and ground floor convienient .

The food was good and the bar area was very comforting and relaxing. The room heater was very noisy and it made a noise even when not being used. Also, the shower head dripped constantly. Consequently, a sleepless night ensued. Having to pay for breakfast at a top country hotel is very poor and will undoubtedly put people off.
