The historic Lamb dates back to the 12th century and offers a pub, dining room and individually styled bedrooms with satellite TV. Stonehenge is a 25 minute drive away. The building retains plenty of its original character and features including inglenook fireplaces, flag-stone floors and heavy wooden beams. Each room has a spacious bathroom with toiletries and free Wi-Fi access. Outside is a heated, covered terrace where you can enjoy a Havana cigar or one of 200 malt whiskeys. Inside you will also find a sitting room and meeting room. The Lamb Inn sits in the middle of the charming Wiltshire village of Hindon and is only 20 minutes from Salisbury and Longleat Safari Park. By 1870 The Lamb was a coaching inn that supplied horses for coaches to London and the West Country. Hotel Rooms: 19 Most recent booking for this hotel was yesterday at 06:13 from United Kingdom.

The Lamb Inn is beautifully decorated with a luxury country feel. The staff were, without exception, friendly and helpful. The food was amazing. .

The Lamb is a lovely old coaching Inn, the staff are so friendly, efficient & welcoming. The rooms are comfortable well equiped & very clean. The food in the bar was the only disappointment & was big one, this should really be addressed promptly as it lets a smashing venue down badly

It was a beautiful old Inn, very atmospheric and the food was superb. Dislike is probably the wrong word. My bedroom was plain and ordinary, but perfectly adequate and very well equipped.

Extremely comfortable rooms - very relaxing attmosphere throughout. Breakfast menu offers a very good choice with good quality food. The evening menu is good drawing from the rich selection of local produce. Great service at breakfast. Friendly and efficient. Like the way the Lamb can cater for young families, young and mature couples quite effortlessly. Service at dinner was a little lax. Our waitress was indifferent. Completely unaware that people were waiting to be served. Having had to ask for the pudding menu were then left waiting for 30 minutes before one of our party gave up and goIng to bed went to the bar to ask for a glass of water which never appeared when reqested at the start of dinner and to chivvy her up to attend to our table. Again complete oblivion!

The breakfast was very tasty. The ensuite was fine and well stocked Furniture tired shabby and need of good dusting and polish. .Breakfast should be included in the price of if not a set price that includes everything, charging extra for tea toast etc poor. Only dined once as thought evening meal was over priced.

Went for a Valentines meal and one night stay - quiet, very good fixed price meal, very relaxed - quality room, bed, bathroom. Charged 10% gratuity on the bar bill - expected it for the meal, and pleased to pay that, but not on tbe pre-meal drinks at the bar

This was our second stay at the Lamb both my wife and I love the hotel and its location With its log fires and excellent food its great for a 2 or 3 night trip Breakfast is amazing Unfortunatley the wine list and drinks have become very expensive only 1 choice of rose wine by the glass and @ £8.00 per large glass this is far to expensive a distinct lack of sub £25.00 wines needs to be addressed

The cosy atmosphere in the bar with games, real fire and Christmas decorations; the young barman who was extremely attentive and helpful - unlike the morning staff at breakfast - and our room. The quality, quantity and presentation of the evening meal was a real disappointment, so much so that I asked whether the chef was away or ill... Not as per its reputation, nor as good as my previous lunch there 18 months ago.

Authencity, quiet We felt that your website was misleading showing rooms at £79 and when you went to book on line it showed 'only one room left' at £105. We took this last room as we had a sad family occasion to go to and because of the location had no choice but to book it. When we got to the hotel it was half empty and we were shown to a room over a garage, tiny with very dangerous stairs. My husband is in his 70's!! We refused the room and were then given another one.At the price of £105 with no breakfast included, this was a very expensive nights stay in a country pub.We were disappointed in the menu, not much of choice. We will not be returning. It took 5 emails to spell our name correctly on the booking!

Lovely olde worlde hotel. High standard of decoration. Comfortable well equipped rooms. Helpful staff. Restaurant menu definitely gourmet, could do with a cheaper every day bar menu for those just wanting a quick bite to eat. Having said that the food was of a high standard and would suit special occasion dining or romantic weekend break. Continental breakfast was a little limited and needs to be more varied, or a simple full english should be included in the B & B cost. A hike of £5 per room would cover this improvement and allow more choice for customers.

All staff were friendly and courteous. The rooms were impeccable. Food was excellent. regrettably whilst sat in the bar one evening the hotel general manager was behind the bar staring at a computer. In front of myself and my wife and other guests in the hotel he loudly berated all the waiting and bar staff stating he was "sick and tired of turning round and seeing them around the bar area". He reduced one of the lady bar staff to tears. This is incredibly unprofessional and as a person who has a large amount of experience in customer service felt I should bring this matter to your attention. I look forward to seeing your response to me and this will show me that my comments have been read and dealt with. Many Thanks

The room was large, recently refurbished to an excellent standard, and the Inn itself was charming and full of character. Recommended for a relaxing getaway and contrary to some previous comments, we found the staff attentive and friendly.

The room was lovley, bed very comfortable Service at dinner was very slow. We sat down at 9.15-9.30, only had a main course and coffees but left the table at 11.45pm. Unbelievably slow. But the food was good.
