The Langley is a relaxed, family-run hotel, a 20-minute walk from central Tonbridge. It has a pretty secluded yard with a gazebo, a terrace for drinks and free private parking. Each bedroom has a private bathroom with bathtub or shower, and tea and coffee-making facilities. Breakfast at The Langley includes a selection of cheeses, fruits, yogurt, cereals and an English breakfast. Special diets can be catered for in advance. Tonbridge Castle and the famous Tonbridge School are passed on the way to the center of town. Tonbridge Train Station is about a 5-minute drive away. The staff is happy to book taxis upon request or to help if guests need help with their baggage. The Langley is not far from the Tonbridge-to-Penshurst off-road cycle track and Hayesden Country Park, where cyclists and walkers can enjoy the lakes and wildlife. Committed to the local community, the hotel supports the local farmers’ market, clubs, charities and the Tonbridge Half Marathon. The staff were very friendly and it was easy to find. A little bit dated, however its irrelevant as its being made into an old peoples home next month...

The breakfasts. Free parking Proximity to centre of Tonbridge It is falling into disrepair, and I was told it was shutting 31.10.12. Hence no real bar no restaurant no maid service on one day.

Comfortable beds. Excellent breakfast. The lift was out of order - it was not disabled-friendly. The stairs were a nightmare.

The staff were friendly and helpful. No working lift and hotel in desperate need of refurbishment. The entrance off the main road is not wide enough and in wrong position. It makes entering and leaving difficult and dangerous. This is a major issue and should be addressed.

Good location for Tonbridge/ Hildenborough. Ample car parking. Spacious rooms, quiet atmosphere- at least during my stay. Hotel rather "faded"... Gave impression of having seen better days . Lift out of order, so a real struggle getting luggage up and down stairs. General air of being "run down", though not so serious as requiring complaint. Breakfast OK , but coffee and tea terrible. My room carpet dirty: didn't like to walk on it wilth bare feet!

Breakfast Very run down. Needs lots of maintenance. I went to the lounge to read the Sunday paper but had to go outside to the terrace as it was too dark inside because less than half the light fittings had bulbs in them. We booked a double room but they didn't have any. We had to take a twin. One of the bed headboards was screwed to the wall the other had fallen off and was on the floor with the screw holes exposed. No soap etc.

Getting away from it in the morning!! Pictures on website misleading. Room was dirty with dust and muck everywhere. Bathroom had tiles off wall, towel rail failing off, mildew around window, inside of kettle black and unuseable, hairdryer didnot work, carpet worn, blanket on bed(!). Breakfast, foodwise was O.K., but tables uncleared, no bowls for cereals, no attention given by worker whether we had had enough toast. The one person seen working was dressed in jeans which were halfway down his backside and a black t- shirt. The only other person seen at breakfast was a lady doing the cooking who was similarily dressed. Both left the kitchen/dining area ten minutes before the end of breakfast to sit outside for a smoke leaving guests with dirty tables and no service. Should this hotel be allowed to contine to accept guests without being inspected to see if they are safe to continue to trade? We have never stayed at such a poor establishment costing so much for such dismal service. Totally disgusted with the hotel.

They had wifi. The place is run down and filthy. The room still had items left behind by previous guests. Shutting the door to the room caused bits of wall to crumble. The breakfast room had fungi growing in the carpet. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.

We had a great room, 4 poster bed, nice view of the garden. Our friends weren't quite so lucky and had a smaller room with a smaller bed. Breakfast was great. It wasn't particularly clean, everything in the room is quite old, but I guess that could be part of the charm. It's about a mile from the station, less to the start of the main st, so you can walk in but it's not on your doorstep.

It was in the perfect locfation for visiting our friends, the breakfast was nice, and the bar was cheap. The hotel seemed very dated, the bar didnt stock a huge amount of drinks, and what they did have, they run out of quickly. our room smelt of fish, the smell was coming from the drains. the bedding had rips in the sheets.

Nothing! The lift was out of order, The banisters had a note to say they were unsteady. The toilet was dirty. The lights tripped because they said they had problems with them.. There were no room instructions or fire regulations. The shower was loose on the wall. The wardrobe doorhandle was broken. Breakfast was not warm. Leaflet stated there was evening meals available. Way over priced. Would not recommend to my worst enemy. You need to remove this hotel from your listings. Its going to be converted to a residential home so this is probably the reason for the appalling condition.

Convenient location for my visit. Friendly helpful staff. The hotel needs a makeover to meet customers current expectations. I only needed a bed for the night so it served my purpose well. Breakfast was disappointing. The lawn is overgrown and needs cutting.

No Receptionist stood for 20 minutes for someone to come to book me in. Hotel delapitates with thread bare stair carpets which were easy to trip on, falling apart bannisters on the staircase that were signposted as dangerous, lift out of order. Dirty carpark with litter of can cigaret ends and ither rubbish around the front entrance. After room was cleaned had to ask for the tea and biscuits in the room to be replenished.
