The ease to move to another room as the tv did not work
We ate in the bar and due to a noisy wedding party being there it was a most uncomfortable experience
Food at dinner tasteless, but staff were very pleasant and handled the problem very well
Nice room free WiFi excellent breakfast
Our room was not serviced very annoying We were not told to book the restaurant in the mornings consequently we were unable to eat there at night even more annoying for a supposedly 2rosette resturant
Front desk and restaurant manager especially were probably the friendliest hotel staff we have ever met - thank you for making us so welcome. Great meal in the Bistro - quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Quickly and effortlessly arranged a change in room for us on arrival despite the hotel being busy with a wedding and sporting event.
The room was good size and the location was ideal as we were there for our friends wedding.
The "luxury executive room" was straight out of the 1970's with a view across a road to another wing of the hotel, wonderful! The shower room was very dated and had excessive lime scale and mould on the grouting. It looks like they have not invested in this hotel for decades. Luckily we paid extra for a better room.... We were part of a wedding party. I would not recommend anyone getting married there. The canapés were cheap and very nasty. The dinner was so shocking that I had to complain and asked the waitress to pass my comments on to the "chef" and I got no response. The supper was straight out of an Iceland freezer department!!! I feel sad for our friends that got married there. To top it all off the breakfast was charged additionally to the final bill even though we didn't have it! When I was asked if I enjoyed my stay I said no and there was no follow up conversation from the reception staff at all.
Was just a perfect ideal place
Weddings take up the bar and make you feel sentenced to your room, entertainment would be good
Good and friendly. Was a wedding but minimal noise. Bed very comfy so slept well. Nice pool and leisure centre. Close to langthorne, Royal Oak pub excellent!
Bed was lovely, staff were execellant
Bathrooms very tired, breakfast was so slow even though we avoided the so called busy time.
No fridge in first room Smokey room windows left open but still stank
The spa staff could not be bothered to interact with people... They gave the impression that they didn't want to be there or talk to anyone.. We had to wait both times we wanted to ask a question while the staff finished their conversation.
Location was great Staff very friendly/ helpful
Had to queue for breakfast only to find that some of the produce had run out or was supplemented with poor quality substitutes Not 4* when compared to recent travels
Room was dated, bed tiny, premier in would have been a lot nicer and for less money, shame as a good location
The comfort and friendliness is nice and feel relaxed
Location and leaving Happy bar staff
The room was cold The bed was too soft The shower / wet room flooded the whole bathroom The toiletries were in short supply (as we were a group of 3) No shower cap The towels were thin No bathrobes Poor coffee Dated decor Overpriced food in restaurant Overpriced breakfast Cold main bar and restaurant areas No porter service provided to help with bags This hotel is greatly Overpriced. Too much £££ for Too little
crums hair and congealed food on floor and cushions and walls. Extractor fan not working, rusty towel rail, mouldy silicone. Room next to car park so audible 6am traffic. Bed sheets not tucked under the mattress at pillow end and made so when you turn down the duvet you pull out the sheets under the mattress. Other than checking in/ out no hello- goodbye from staff in 5 days.
Breakfasts were very good
Dinner was very disappointing. Would not eat there in the evening again
Bath so small when we had a shower the shower curtain stuck to us. We had no blinds in our window & room was by car park so had to have curtains shut for privacy. Queue for breakfast was awful
We enjoyed the spa/lesuire the most although the whole weekend was lovely.
We ate in the restaurant on the Friday evening and then attended a sit down meal at a wedding on the Saturday.Starter's on both evening where great but the main meals where a let down unfortunately.
My son's wedding evening buffet was nice and the venue was lovely.
Was very disappointed with the sit down meal. Beef very tough and vegetables under cooked. Also the vegetarian option was tasteless.
The location and stay
The facilities were good. It was a bonus to have a pool and a gym.the hotel is in a good position and the rooms were of an adequate size and were comfortable. The staff, especially the barman, were extremely efficient and professional.
Unfortunately the jacuzzi was out of service. The rooms need a little tlc - the bathroom door didn't shut and there should have been net curtains as there were people walking past our room outside on the ground floor. However this is still a good value hotel.
That our room was a quite one as requested as we have a baby and a toddler.
The cleanliness of the room. All in all ok but the mirror over the bed was never cleaned and had finger prints all over it from the previous tenants. The noise coming from the extractor in the bathroom was extremely noisy because of a grinding sound. The shower head didn't have all the jets working and was spraying in lots of different directions rather than downwards. We stayed in room 269.
The pool was lovely and the family room was laid out well and we had pkenty of room.
The bar was extremely busy, and we were waiting twenty mins to get served, although there was a wedding venue ,but for such a big hotel, maybe have either more staff on or maybe bigger bar or another bar .but apart from this we love this hotel and we stay here often .
We had an amazing stay at the Langstone hotel. The staff where all very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again
We struggled to get our baby's pram upto the function that we was attending. The breakfast was ok but long cues for the coffee machine and the cooked breakfast had not been replenished so not much choice even thou we attended breakfast before 9..
