Housekeeping staff were amazing. Nothing was too much to ask for. The location was tranquil and serene. Very relaxing environment. The jacuzzi and swimming pool also were a welcome treat. Truly enjoyable. Two staff stood out- Kirsty on front desk and Tom in room service. You both are true assets to langstone. Food and beverage aspect of the hotel could do with a lot of work. Inconsistent service standards and offerings throughout. Bar service very poor.

The room was a good size, the bed was very comfortable. Bathroom modern and very clean, good supply of hot well pumped water, also appreciated heated towel rail every hotel should provide one! The main guest lounge was a bit soulless, I also think that there should be a separate function bar from the general hotel bar so regular guests can sit quietly in lounge/bar without being overwhelmed by wedding guests. Bathrobes would be a nice touch also a bit more of a selection in the rooms tea and coffee collection. Ie hot chocolate also some biscuits would have been nice.

Nice hotel & location. Staff very friendly but also very young & could do with more training & supervision. Stayed for a Saturday & Sunday night, room wasn't cleaned during Sunday. Had to phone down for supplies of tea etc. Were given 20% discount for non service of room for Sunday but would of preferred to have returned from our day out to find a clean, serviced room.

Nothing!!!!!!!!!!!! and Leaving. totally dissapointed with this hotel, Dirty laundry along corridors, dirty mirrors, dirty floors.Boiled eggs found in kettle? not offered portarage although disabled, I could go on and on but there is no point. We did complain to the duty manager the outcome was a reduction in price and a bottle of Prossecco, Would have preferred a clean hotel and helpfull staff.

Close proximity to clients premises. Gym. Room was ok.. No Wifi in room, communal area only and even then weak signal. Expensive for what it actually offers, however there is no competition...

The bed was exceptionally comfortable, its surprising how many aren't would definately stay again. Expensive breakfast it was more expensive to have breakfast than lunch on that basis therefore we decided to have breakfast elsewhere.

The location was perfect for us I think it might have been better if we were getting married as that seems to be the principal business of the hotel. We only stayed one night and whilst it was not unpleasant the hotel has clearly not moved with the times. The room was clean and everything worked but the decor was tired and dated. The condensation inside the double glazed window did not enhance the view. I really think that you have to give consideration to refurbishment as competing hotels have created a better feel. The bar area was ok but, again, decor and comfort levels were average in my view. The dinner was good but not really up to the price charged. Staff were friendly and keen to make a good impression and we were happy to leave them a tip but I got the feeling that they have perhaps been over-coached. No one appreciates being asked if 'everything is ok' several times in the space of one hour. Ask me once and I will tell you if there is a problem. If I dont put up my hand please assume all is ok. I would not recommend The Langstone to friends unless they, like us, were totally reliant on the location being the principal reason for staying there.

location is great and waterside setting so the views are amazing and change with the weather Decor in the rooms is now tired and needs updating in some areas. On arrival the whole building was cold took a long time to heat up. Kept awake at night by the noise of people returning to their rooms in the early hours of the morning as they now appear to promote stag and hen parties.

Liked location, restaurant, afternoon tea, people, room Stairs up to room corridor were dirty; heating was not really up to the cold weather - had to keep coat on until room warmed up and then still not very warm. There seemed to be a lack of heating in the whole hotel. Didn't like the tv screen with picture of open fire - would prefer the open fire itself!

It as great location peaceful and relax away from busy life stile. I was disipointed only from hotel it wasn't hot enouugh room some time we felt not even warm. One of the reason I choice the hotel spa and a pool. But I disipointed totaly because it wasn't big enough on top of that it was open totaly locals. So in future is not worth to book this hotel as a spa did not liked at all. And when we arrive at the hotel I have been ask if I like to have a newspaper in the morning I said yes pleace. When we check out I have to pay them and price was more then the it self. Which is other hotels offer free. It wouldn't be nice inform the customer you have to pay for for them.

The location - views from bedroom out over a creek - could watch birds from the window! Proximity to good birdwatching sites but near enough to Portsmouth for historical sites, shopping and cinema when the weather wasn't good enough to be outside. Cooked breakfast was the same every day. Would have liked a choice of eggs. Spreads like marmalade weren't of good quality.
