my over all experience at the lismore was very good, the hotel is situated on oxford road about a ten mins walk into the town, the lady that checked me in was very pleasant, the hotel is very clean and well presented there is a cosy bar to the left of reception, internet is free, my room had a 4 poster bed and a 2 seater leather sofa, there is a push button security lock on the front door but you are given the code when you check in, i would recommend the lismore without hesitation

It suited our needs location wise, ie near to the Banbury Crematorium and for our relatives in Wroxton. Price was excellent for our budget. Breakfast excellent choice for the price. Easy to find. Parking.

Chalet type room with parking right outside the chalet door. Suited me and my needs well. No staff available when I arrived just a note to inform me of the room I would be staying in and two keys I saw a member of staff when I was returning my keys to reception. Ok for me but probably not good for persons trying to find their way round the main building.

Stunning hotel. Nice little chalets at the back, which were good as we were visiting family and didn't get back till late. Came back on the Sunday night about 8:45 and thought we would have a drink in the bar. Only to be told by a German man that the bar was closed. Even though he sat there with a pint for himself. Also a 9am wake up call to ask if we needed anything wasn't necessary.

I was attending a funeral and the Lismore provided the right atmosphere for this. The Lismore is what it is. The chalets are utilitarian but do the business. Great potential as a boutique hotel.

Located close to the town. Seemed comfy and clean. Sadly, I checked in very late and no saff on duty, key and note left on reception desk for me. Could not access the wifi in the room as no details on the pin etc given. That was a problem. The breakfast I booked was no good as in left the hotel at 7.15am and breakfast starts at 08.30!

Ideal location for our mini-break being near to the town centre yet close enough for easy access into the Cotswold area also. The staff were very pleasant, the food was very good and the four poster bed very comfortable. There is a very extensive menu normally available including a wide variety of Pizzas, low priced bar meals right through to huge steaks with an emphasis on high quality. Our stay coincided with the manager having to go into hospital for a major operation which we were unaware of before arrival. This had a serious impact on the food available with only a limited menu on our second night. That said, our choice of steaks was made available by prior arrrangement on the first night and were excellent but without the sauces that we wanted.

The staff at the Lismore were lovely. Our room was spacious and had little extras not found elsewhere. Its not a modern hotel but it had character and was good value for money. Breakfast was everything I would expect including a fry up cooked just right. When busy, there is not enough room in the dining room or Lounge area.

Very friendly staff, good location, and excellent price. Beautiful homely building and nice clean rooms. I found the car park a little difficult to locate (around the back - better to get directions to it from hotel before arriving), but I did arrive when it was dark, so may just be me. Room was a little cold during the night, but even so would still stay here again.

The location was convenient and there was a car park. There were plenty of beverages in the room and hairdryer, iron and board. Bathroom had a good supply of everything needed. The room was minute and bed uncomfortable.. The breakfast was OK but not enough of the cooked full breakfast.

We were expecting a twin bedded room within the main hotel but we were given a chalet. The room including the bathroom was clean and the facities quite good. However the main heating was not on and on entering the room there was a musty smell. The evening/night was quite cold and we had to make do with an electric oil filled radiator. The hotel was handy for Banbury town and our family that we were visiting. Overall impressions was fair but nothing exciting. The interior of the main building was very Victoria and impressive. Cold chalet room with a musty smell. No central heating on and the room needed a good airing.
