TV inadequate,(15/17") screen.
The breakfasts were excellent, the bar area was very friendly and was well stocked. The owner was very friendly and helpful and all of the staff were lovely. Both dining areas were very nice, we had a meal one evening and it was very good.
Location, kind, helpful staff.
position of the lodge.
orange juice only as an alternative - tight with the milk - not good at all.
Nice hotel breakfast was lovely.
Room was adequate but the bathroom was very small with the sink situated outside in the bathroom.
Excellent restaurant. Friendly staff. Good welcome for dog. Lots of space for dog to run around.
The staff we're very friendly & helpful.
The accommodation. Small, in need of updating, no sink in the bathroom. Bathroom small with no extractor fan. Furniture was tired looking. Bedroom door opened directly onto the outside path to all the other bedrooms. There is no sound insulation and I felt very exposed with the door opening directly onto the garden. I wouldn't stay here again and felt it was way overpriced for the type of accommodation.
My husband and I found this property to be well situated, accommodating, offered delicious food, and the garden area was absolutely beautiful. Would happily stay again if in the area.
Booked a family room stipulating a cot was needed for our one year old. When we arrived we had a large bed and sofa in our room with sheets left out presumably to turn the sofa into a bed for our 3 year old. When we asked at reception about the cot a very pleasant yet very stressed girl told us that the hotels one cot was being used by another family. And we were left without any cot or sleep for the night. When we checked out the next morning the older lady was having none of my complaints and told me to wait for the proprietor who never bothered to show his face. Felt service was completely lacking in this establishment and would definitely not recommend to families or anyone who expects more than a musty smelling room and lumpy bed for £120 a night
Nice quiet location
had to wait to check in at 1600hrs
bed was extremely comfortable and facilities excellent
scrambled eggs at breakfast were a bit over cooked but the rest of the breakfast was lovely. The waiting staff at breakfast could be clearly heard delivering the order to the chef in the kitchen, good job she didnt say anything insulting but it was a bit embarrasing hearing her shout " the woman on her own wants the haddock"
Comfortable room, good location, well cooked breakfast. Information from owners
Choice of cereal or fruit juice or fruit at breakfast would have preferred a help yourself counter and a pot of coffee, not having to catch the waitresses eye for a refill.
The room, the breakfast, all the place!!!
Food was great, staff friendly and accomodating, good location
Room fairly basic; TV was useless but nice to have break from telly anyway!
Hotel & Staff were first class and just could not do enough. Food was also very very good.
Location. over 5 miles to nearest town.
being able to take our dog
everything was very good including the breakfast, we would recommend the Lodge to anybody who wanted a very friendly well run hotel in a beautiful welsh valley. Thanks for a very nice stay. Linda and Bill Pickering Sheffield
Friendly, helpful, welcoming but not intrusive staff. Large kingsize bed in a large comfortable room. Breakfast fresh and enjoyable. Restaurant serving excellent home cooked food. Area peaceful and gardens well maintained. We have already booked to go back.
food &staff excellent
The staff where fantastic in there duties and made time to talk to you, making us feel very welcome . Also had a fair knowledge of local walks . The food was of very good Quality . A good all round location .
The staff at the Lodge went well beyond providing good food and hospitality. Neil and Diane went out of their way to ensure our comfort and took a helpful interest in our planned activities
Really nice staff.
Not very eco friendly
Double bed was two singles pushed together, ancient tv , freeview bad , cramped bathroom , sink in room , no WiFi in room , £90 paid for room , warm beer.
Service, food & drink, cleanliness & general comfort were excellent
Washing facilities in room were a bit cramped. TV could do with updating - full range of freeview channels not available.
