The Majestic Hotel Harrogate  

Very nice hotel excellent decor,as its a very old hotel,it is kept very nice indeed.a very relaxing hotel,would always recoment it.

Everything really, location was fantastic, facilities were excellent and the hotel itself was very grand...

We upgraded when we arrived so in total we paid 130 this still did not Include breakfast and car park and the luxury double room was just 2 single beds pushed together , terrible

Courteous, efficient staff at all times, and plenty of them. Breakfast especially well staffed and well run. One of the best run hotels I have ever stayed in

The evening meal was good enough but not up to the quality of everything else

The grandeur of the building its interior and exterior.

No proper guide available in rooms apparently they were under production.

Excellent city location, very good breakfast. Did not have the opportunity to use the spa facilities. But would have liked more information in the room about it I.E. towels, dressing gown availability etc.

The room size was excellent, and of a good standard.The restaurant was well appointed and had a very nice atmosphere.

The food served in the evening was rather dissapointing and not particulary good value for money.

I paid for a double room and got a twin I paid for this as it was my daughter and son inlaw so thay coulde have a nice weekend away for her birthday and that that could have a bit of quality time together and they were not best pleased to have a twin room, and the lack of information in there room about facilities available at the hotel

Staff were excellent. I don't believe that I have been treated so well as I was by them. The room was nice. The grounds were lovely.

No wifi. Balcony door was locked. Old double glazing.

Generally the staf were friendly & helpful.The hotel was BIG-restraunt & reception high/large comfortable.. Bedroom was big high ceiling, large bathroom,comfortable.Near town centre.

Charging for car park.Exspensive food.No shaving mirror,no room safe. pathetic in bath shower. Small beds.

Spa and pool were excellent

Breakfast not included and expensive @ £13.50. I only wanted coffee and two Croissants. Must be the dearest croissants in the uk. Walked into town after day 1

The architecture, the food, the gym

Intermittent cold water, billiard table has disappeared.

Large hotel with lots of character, it was lovely walking around it and seeing all the rooms and portraits. Great breakfast and friendly staff. The room was so large and super clean.

The pool and hotel in general is a bit dated but the pool was lovely, just not what I expected from a spa hotel. It's similar to a pool you would find in a leisure club. The decor in the rooms isn't the best but it didn't put me off too much!

Selfish people at a wedding parties who insist on talking at the top of their voices along the SLEEPING corridors in the early hours of the morning. Plain selfish and rude. Also don't like the new bar area and prefer the old one.

impressively grand old-style hotel. Great situation, architacture and grounds. Clean. Breakfast room and food very good. Staff excellent.

Expensive. Terrible free wifi - clearly intended to make you buy the extra wifi service, This is not acceptable in a hotel like this, at the price being asked. Lighting in room too dim - hard to read/write by dim bulbs provided.

The location of the hotel was brilliant. The breakfast was very good.

sadly could not get the shower to work in the morning just trickled out seemed air locked OK in the evening but went cold before i could rinse my hair off..... room could have done with a refurb a little disapointed when we were on our wedding anniversary, and mentioned this on the booking.

Very poor dinner Friday evening. Badly cooked food and expensive. I don't expect hotel food to be great but this was very disappointing. Breakfast was also below average. It was one of our friends 50th birthday and they ordered champagne and chocolate. The champagne arrived but no chocolate and no appology. The bar was poorly stocked and the staff will trying to be helpfull seemed badly trained.

Very comfortable would definitely stay again.

Water glasses from previous night left dirty We would have liked a new bottle of water to replace previous one.
