We stayed at the Manor for a Wedding Reception that was being held at the hotel. The room, we booked the day before, we understood it to be "petite" as advertised, but not a box. The size of the room meant for two of us getting ready to go out in the event was unacceptable and as a claustrophobic, I found it very hard to be in. For 1 person it's would be funny for two people completely unacceptable and for an elderly couple incredibly difficult. We understand your a business, but you can't sell a box room. Also the fire alarm had a plastic bag covering it, which is illegal and you're lucky we havent reported this. You're breakfast for £9.95 of a pot of coffee is nothing other than a rip off and if you'd like to compensate the money back then that would be something. Manor Hotel for selling a box room at £85 and selling a pot of coffee for £9.95 Shame on you

Stayed 2 nights for our visit to Windsor. Other Windsor hotels were full or out of budget. Chose it due to 4 mins by train to Windsor. It should has some ages and the surrending enviornment is nice and quiet. BUT... There're a wedding party at the date we arrived. So... the noisy was last for the whole night till 11:00pm. Chatting and laughing. My room's on 1/F and the window was just in front of the venue. My room was the cheapest one. Not sure if the hotel had considered about the noisy or just assigned the room according the rate. Lucky is that we're so tired that no problem to fell in sleep after 12 hr flight + 1.5 hr immigration + 1 hr waiting the bus + 0.5 hr bus journey.

Location played a big part and also the price. Pictures on the web looked good as well. The bed was comfortable. Booked a "petite" double room. Just as well I was on my own because it was more PETITE than Double. Arrived on a sunday night, staying just the one night and leaving early the next morning. Disappointed to find the kitchen closed at 20.00 so there was no food. I left before breakfast started, again NO food.

Reasonable hotel, parking and wifi both available. A very expensive restaurant, tiny rooms and a general feeling that the staff don't really know what they are doing. It took three goes to get into my room and my breakfast request was left hanging where I had left it the night before.

The food in the restaurant was excellent. The staff were very attentive and couldnt do enough for me. I decided to upgrade to an exec room and kind of regretted that I did. I have stayed at the hotel on other occasions and had one of the smaller single rooms. The room although quite alot bigger had a fantastic bathroom but the bedroom and facilities let it down. There was nowhere to do hair and make up apart from a large dress mirror so had to put all my things on the floor. There were large rather dirty and disgusting stains on the seating area and also on the cushions on the bed. Would stay here again but wouldnt pay an extra for the upgrade.

Charming traditional hotel with modern facilities Annex rooms, allocated on arrival, right next to a high-speed train line. Expect to be woken regularly from 5am onwards by trains thundering past outside your room. Hopeless.

I stayed at the hotel because my regular guest house (teh excellent Charles House) was full due to it being half term. Consequently many other places were also full. I chose the Manor because it was featured on Booking.com with a Good 7 rating so I thought no more about it. I chose a Standard Double rather than the Petite Double (thank goodness) but even then the room was very small. I thought the window was wide open due to the traffic noise but it was closed. Every time anybody walked along the corridor the floorboards creeked and the whole room shook. No one asked if I needed assistance with my bags when I checked in. Due to my poor first impression I looked up the 167 comments on Booking.com and realised that many people had similar complaints. Spent two nights with barely any sleep.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was fairly small but more than adequate, tastefully decorated, with comfy bed and very hot showers. The hotel is an old building with lots of character and I imagine all the rooms are slightly different.

Petite double room was upgraded to a standard double which was a nice touch. also there are very few parking spaces outside the hotel, but when the receptionist was informed she directed me to an alternate secure private parking area a short walk away

Very convenient location for our business meeting. Staff was cordial and helpful. Service at restaurant was good, food was fine for the level of hotel. Had to carry our bags up two flights. No elevator. Bedroom size was ok, but without a window. Bathroom was very poorly laid out: could not stand in front of toilet due to dormer ceiling; sink faucet was to short to wash or shave properly, and there was no mirror or lighting over sink. No light on or over desk in bedroom. Very limited number of tv channels, with poor reception on several.

The waiters in your dining room were excellent. As a solo traveller, I was given excellent service, without the feeling of being rushed through my meal. They were attentive, and nothing was too much trouble. It made my holiday a pleasure.

The staff were all very friendly and we even received a room upgrade (without asking) as they weren't fully booked that evening. The room was very comfortable and clean, and it's located on a "High Street" and our room was at the front of the building, it wasnt at all noisy. Would definitely visit again. We went for a drink in the bar and my glass smelt like Marmite.

It was somewhere to hang our head before a day out near there that was all really The room was tiny, im only 5 ft 7 and I kept smacking an elbow or head on the ceiling or walls in the bathroom when I was getting changed! I'm not claustrophobic but the shower was tiny and it had a shower curtain which stuck to me and made me feel really uncomfortable! It was rather noisy too with low flying planes and trains etc! It was over priced for what it was £70 but it served its purpose of somewhere to sleep before a day out at thorpe park

The location At 23:00 we asked at the bar if it we could order a snack and was told no the kitchen's were closed. We asked if there was room service and was told no. At 02:00am the night porter knocked on our door and said our phone kept ringing in reception. We had not used the phone at all so unplugged it. At around 03:00 in the morning we were woken again by someone being violenty sick in the next room - the sound proofing of the rooms is so poor that we could hear everything!! It was as though we were sharing his room. This is just scratching the surface I could go on. In all not a satisfactory stay at all and I would not recommend it to anyone.

“The staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The room was inexpensive and was extremely good value. The mattresses were very comfortable indeed. The breakfast was more than adequate and I would sum up the stay by saying that I would choose this over a travelodge any day. Better accommodation, better staff, breakfast included. What's not to like for a budget lodge? ” Stewart, Way To Woler |
