Lovely recently updated room
Full English Breakfast was tasteless although the buffet was ok
Room was excellent. Spacious, very clean and a stunning sea view.
Lovely bright spacious room with a veranda overlooking the sea.
Can't think of anything.
The hotel had a comfortable atmosphere and the rooms on the top floor had lovely view of the sea to wake up to. Plenty of storage and hanging space. Small but clean en suite and good shower. Tea coffee hot chocolate and biscuits in the room and on arrival we were offered fresh milk if we didn't like UHT - a very nice touch which I don't remember in any other hotel.
The hot breakfast was excellent but as I only wanted an adult cereal and fruit I would have liked a muesli with no added sugar. Also on checking us in, the young man became a little confused and began to lose his temper The other receptionist explained he was in training and apologised politely but I think she should have told him to do so too.
Everything, room, bed, food and staff were all fantastic
Location on the seafront
The room was cold, had a seview but the window was quite small (we were at the end of the building) Breakfast was not so good, fried bread swimming in oil, tomatoes tasted of fish (cross contamination?)
We loved the beautiful view outside our room of the sea and the fantastic breakfast. The hotel is very nicely decorated too.
Sad the people in the room above us were up early and the sound of them walking around and chatting was very loud and woke us up at 8am. Not ideal for a relaxing night away!
Staff willingness to help
Location, Staff & food
Secondary glazing in room 11 needs attention, as the strong north east wind blew in and made the bedroom cold and the bathroom very cold, this was reported.
Comfortable room with good facilities.
Service is a bit slow, each time I've stayed the receptionist didn't know the systems for booking and payments. They sent my brothers booking confirmation to me. The twin room I booked had beds that touched each other - not really twin beds.
The food was amazing the room was outstanding can't wait togo back
The size of the bed due to me being 6'4 my feet hung off the end of the bed and the bath was alittle small
Staff are very friendly and helpful, the hotel is ideally situated with reasonable parking and terrific views, lovely breakfast, overall very little to fault! Next time we might bring our dogs, I think the dog rooms are a brilliant idea.
Only one very slight niggle - our mattress wasn't very comfortable, we both found it lumpy and didn't sleep too well. But we are fussy about our bed!
Bath shower mixer.
Hotel was lovely, bright, modern & well furnished. In a great location on the seafront & a pleasant 15 min walk into Whitstable. Would definitely recommend to others.
The sea view and comfort. The fresh milk in a flask was a special touch!
The reception staff weren't very friendly, probably because they were quite young and haven't had much training.
lovely place,lovely people
Enjoyed our stay at the Marine. The room was looking over the beach and had everything we needed. It was a short walk into Whitstable. The staff were very helpful. Would definitely go again!
What's not to like.
staff friendly and efficient. Room was absolutely gorgeous and breakfast lovely
It was all great I didnt like having onmly one night so would definately book two nights next time
Overall smart place and good furnishings/ colours
Lovely room, friendly staff and beautiful surroundings. Couldn't of asked for better.
A beautiful view straight over the sea. Very nice decor and good bathroom.
Unfortunately, our double bed was actually two single mattresses pushed together beneath double sheets. Also, the room at been newly painted and there were still paint fumes in the air. I would have appreciated more of a gesture of compensation from staff when I mentioned this to them.
Loved the homely room and modern too. Friendly staff. Good pub grub.
Room with sea view and bath Friendly and helpful staff Great food
Within easy reach of Whitstable but just far enough out to be quiet abd overlook the beach. Lovely staff, good restaurant.
