We didn't like minor things, such as that the minibar only had a couple of water bottles in it, and the free movies weren't very many and not very good.
We were offered a last-minute upgrade to an executive twin room for £10, which we took. This meant that our room had a view over the lake, which was nice.
The interior design was fantastic, the beds and pillows were soft. Breakfast was brilliant, with fresh fruits, lots of continental options, as well as a buffet with hot choices.
The absolute highlight however was the Spa. Spotless clean, free towels in three sizes, modern interior, lockers with code, so no need to carry keys around. There was a big pool for swimming lanes, a smaller warm hydrotherapy pool (operated by buttons, which is great). The highlight for us was the thermal suite with steam rooms, saunas, a caldarium (very hot stone benches) and a proper hammam which was so steamy that you couldn't see anyone else in there. We were so relaxed afterwards, and we will be back!
