Staff were superb: friendly, helpful, efficient and well turned out.

Main entrance has difficult access on a very busy road

We had a great time all together, the spa, room, felt so relaxed.

Had a evening meal - as we are vegetarian, need a bit more variety.

We were going to eat in the club house but it didn't look clean. There was food on the floor and tables weren't leaned properly

The Mere's staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was superb and excellent value for money. I would highly recommend this hotel for a weekend break and it is also very close to the airport.

Reception staff, restaurant staff and front of house team all very polite. Lovely clean room, delicious food in Browns. Mere kat!

The mere hotel is absolutely beautiful. Our room was spacious and luxurious. We liked the little extras in the room such as the bath robes, slippers and the meerkat! The all you can eat breakfast was superb. The staff were friendly, attentive and professional at all times. Thank you for a memorable stay.

Staff were a little over attentive in the sports bar - kept asking if we wanted drinks/something to eat - it became a nuisance rather than good service.

we stayed here last weekend (easter) we had a lovely time the spa was our favourite bit, it was very busy when we first arrived but quieten down later on. We ate in the club lounge and had a booth overlooking the lake was lovely. The food was very nice would recommend the curry :)

The hotel was very busy as there was a wedding on so the spa was packed and nowhere to sit or even hang our towels when we first arrived. The room was lovely the best bit was the bed so comfy. Even though they do put two single beds together so annoying ridge in the middle of the bed. The downside to the room was the annoying toilet that was dripping water into the pan so that was noisy. room 205. It also stated that we would have a room with a view however this was not the case we were overlooking the car park. shame really as the rooms are not cheap!!

Very clean, comfortable and good sized rooms. Staff were courteous, knowledgable and appeared 'happy' in their respective roles

The level of Service in the Bar & particularly the Restaurant was pretty dreadful. It lacked any sort of professionalism. There seemed to be a total lack of training of staff for such an alleged high class hotel.

The Hotel itself is beautiful and the rooms are nicely furnished.

When I tried to book a table in Browns I was told there were no tables vailable until 9.30 pm - this distressed me because it was my partners birthday surprise. I informed Browns of this point and they promised to get back to me. They didnt so I called again and they promised to call me back. They did call me back this time and said it was a computer error and there were plenty of tables available.(NOT Good service) The meal was disappointing and the story is a lot longer than this. At breakfast I watched a waiter drop knives and forks he was carrying on the way to lay a new table. Another waiter picked them up and gave them back to him and he layed the table. This has hygiene implications and is not what I would ecpect in a 5 star hotel, When we arrived for breakfast there were no tables available and we had to wait several minutes for a table to become ready. Once again not what I would expect from a 5 star hotel. Last point is that I opened the bathroom bin to throw away rubbish and the bin had contents in already- it had not been changed. All in all a very disappointing time.

Food and service in club lounge terrible, half of the menu wasn't available. Place was dead but service still poor!
