Very friendly welcome. Room clean and comfortable. Everything was there for our comfort. Plenty of hot water and most important, Mirrors! We were off to a wedding and the venue suited us perfectly. The dining room set up was excellent, once again everything was there to make our stay enjoyable Very handy for public transport, bus stops almost outside. Handy for O.A.P Bus passes.. Well done and Good Luck to the owner, a super idea!! Not too happy with parking. We should have brought our smaller car, bit of a tight squeeze. However, there seemed to be plenty of parking spaces in the area.

I saw The Metro Bed and Breakfast featured on a tv programme (4 in a bed). I was impressed with the decor (no dusty ornaments etc). Our room was extremely large and spacious. The beds were very comfortable. The bedding was white and clean. Duvet and pillows were feather. The breakfast arrangement worked very well for us. Self service buffet style (no hot choice which suited us fine). The kitchen area was available 24 hours a day which was excellent for bringing back take-aways. The Metro is situated a 15 minute walk from the Sea Front.

Excelent value for money. We had 3 rooms and all 3 were very clean. Dining area was fantastic, self service breakfast till 11am and you could use kitchen area any time of day or night for carry outs or heating your own meals. Also free hot drinks 24 hours. Was a bit out of town but the accomodation was brill. No complaints Wall were a bit thin. We went out of season but if full would imagine a bit noisy

The friendliness of the staff - the receptionist was particularly helpful. We also enjoyed the freedom to come and go and to be able to bring our own food and drink back to the hotel to eat. Our room was clean and comfortable with lovely views over the fields behind. Would definately return and recommend to friends. A little far out from the centre but luckily the sun was shining so we could walk into town within about 20 mins. Taxis are quite expensive to return after a day out - but of course that is no refection on the Hotel itself.

The /metro was conviniently placed on our route into Newquay. The room we where given (2) was excelent for us as we didnt know what time we would be arriving back in that evening and we could return without disturbing anyone, had it been very late. The interior decor was very pleasing throughout. The receptionist was very welcoming, friendly and relaxed, which was extreamly pleasing as most receptionists over do the rigid text book welcome. The regulations of the Metro were very straight forward and easily understood. The Metro had an all round relaxed atmosphere that made us feel quite comfortable with the surroundings. The arrangements for breakfast also suited us, selfservice with no fussing. We had an excelent nights sleep and enjoyed our very short stay. I would have no hessitation in recomending the Metro to others. Many thanks Cllr Phil Chandler Mayor of Yeovil.

Very laid back, not stuck up like most hotels. Large rooms, really comfy beds and only 10 min walk from the beach and half hour into town! The breakfast idea is excellent, can bring back your own takeaway and heat up your own meals whenever you want :) staff were also really friendly.

I liked the laid back feel, we loved our room over looking the hills behind the Metro. The facilities were spot on and I would come back again to stay. I liked the relaxed atmosphere and the modern rooms. 100% better then staying at another kitsch feeling B&B. I would reccommend staying here to my friends. The only negatives I have are that our bathroom matt was soaked before we even used it.. and there were coffee/drinks marks on the wall besides the coffee/tea drinking area and the light over the mirror/sink didnt work. that's it, nothing major but just a few little bits. However it wouldnt have put me off staying there.

Both myself and my partner enjoyed our stay at the Metro. Although small the room was clean with an excellent view and had all the basic facilities we required such as tv, tea/coffee,shower etc. More important, to both of us, was how clean the room/bedding was upon arrival. There were complaints from other reviews regarding the breakfast but we both enjoyed the freedom of the cold buffet style and didn't see the problem other reviewers had in the simple task of putting dirty plates in a dishwasher. I think the thing that we both found appealing was the freedom the B&B offered in terms of coffee machines, open lounge and the dining facility that we could bring takeaways back to; something a lot of places do not allow.

We had a lovely family room. The lounge area was very comfortable and it was nice to have somewhere else to go to as well as the bedroom, especially as my two year old didnt want to sleep. So I was able to leave my husband in the bedroom with my sleeping 4 year old son. There was tea and coffee facilities available and also a fridge and microwave for use. We could help ourselves to what was there I.E. fruit/cereal. The breakfast was continental and there was agood choice for us. They also had a small table and chairs for the childre. Childrens plates and cutlery was also available. In the morning there was a good selection of guests present, not just young families. Bathrooms and bedrooms were clean. The owner was very polite and accomodating. We hads a family room and a double room for 17 and 14 yo girls. Family room, was a double and a bunkbed. Only fault if you call it one, was that in the double room there was an iron burn mark on the carpet. This could have been caused quite recently. Then you wouldnt expect them to change it so quickly in the peak of the holiday season. Thats it really !
