Nice hotel, good location .
That we had pre paid for breakfast for two morning's and each morning in front of people we were told we hadn't paid . Was quiet humiliated and it wasn't said quietly , room seemed a little tired and carpet wasn't very clean also very noisey at night .
This hotel is located in a good central position near to the trams. Facilities are well maintained and the staff helpful and pleasant.
Excellent Location for Exhibition and City Centre. Extremely relaxing atmosphere
the location from oxford road rail station the size of the room high floor that i asked for the mini -bar the wi-fi twin beds and the view from the window and the large bathroom easy shower and bath taps hot or warm your choice must go back soon.
Loved the character of the hotel, excellent location close to the Christmas markets. Friendly staff.
We arrived at breakfast to be told warm food was an extra £6.95 and we could only have continental, even though we had booked breakfast with the room rate ( no mention of extra). Lack of staff in restaurant, food running out, food in warmers was cold and no vegetarian options.
Excellent location, friendly staff, great rooms
Charged for items from the mini bar that we did not have. Tried explaining at reception when paying bill but in the end I paid as it was not worth arguing.
Superb location and perfect personnel.
Sanity of public men's toilets ground floor, a.o. had sticky doors.
Nice hotel great location
Room was very average ceiling looked like was about to fall down so very off putting
Great hotel. Fantastic location and a really enjoyable stay.
Nothing to dislike. Would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone.
Beautiful hotel with lovely decor. The staff are good, check in was quick. Nice to have free internet as well. High quality bedding and the shower was awesome! Great location, just a short walk away from the city center.
Room was smaller than I expected and felt quite cramped which surprised me considering the cost of it.
The room was great, dressing area with fridge, tea and coffee facilities. Warm, wifi. The view from the room was over the Bridgewater and made fascinating watching. We found the room above expectations. The reception staff were great and attentive.
The bar area on the table we sat initially we were told the table was reserved later at 730, I explained we were going out! That nearly put us off returning to that bar area, we did and enjoyed listening to the piano when people clearly at a wedding stopped being loud and returned to their celebration.
Staff fantastic, especially the concierge. Fabulous entrance/bar area and within walking distance of shops bars etc
Rooms need updating
Location and room.
Poor breakfast. Poor service at breakfast. Poor quality ingredients served as a hot buffet. Cheap bacon badly prepared, cold & fatty sausages, mushrooms stewed in own juices, very unappealing eggs. Best thing was that you could order eggs, which I did, but they too lacked flavour.
Bed, room and facilities
The wifi was weak and even though I zipped the single beds together the maids didn't give me double sheets. No biggy though ;-) shower was also a bit weak
Quality of room service.
Shower and Wi-Fi was poor.
Hotel felt quite plush. Rooms comfortable and temprature good. Concierge was very obliging and helpful in sourcing a wheelchair for my disabled mother
no breakfast included in the rate of £169. Drinks at the lobby bar were very expensive. Not being able to park outside the hotel for more than a couple of minutes to unload.
Great Hotel Atmosphere. Good Location.
Room decor a bit bland. Small rooms
I have dined at The Midland annually for twelve years and it was on wish list for a sleepover. I liked my sleepover and will sleepover again. Choice of companion unfortunately didn't allow me to dine at Mr Cooper's but it is on me list :)
Have no complaints and can't find fault :)
The exterior and public areas of the hotel were beautiful, the location was great, the breakfast was very nice, and Mr. Cooper's restaurant provided a very pleasant dining experience. The room design was also quite attractive.
There was someone else's lipstick on one of the drinking glasses provided, which was gross. There was black mold on the caulk in the bathtub and a long black hair hanging off the handheld shower fixture. Bathroom did not feel clean. Beds were not very comfortable. For the price of the rooms I felt the above should have been better.
Selection of places to eat was excellent.
Small bed. Windows which didn't open. 516 is particularly small compared to 528
unable to get laundry service on saturday with same day return
Room & Bed clean and comfortable. Our 4 th stay there in 2 years
No more kooked english breakfast
location, windows that open
the bed -the mattress on my first night was so bad that I still have back problems 5 days later. I was given a room with a new mattress eventually, after much insistence - initially they insisted that all mattresses are the same. They may be the same but they vary in age massively, and the first one had been given a topper in an attempt to disguise its problems. It didn't work! Room 218 has a good mattress by the way.
The staff cannot do enough for you at this hotel. They are so helpful and this makes for a very comfortable stay. The hotel is in great location.
Just a small issue with the bath in our room.
