The atmosphere of the hotel was excellent and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. While having a dinner, photographers set up near the terrace resturant and throughout mu dinner, meal I was subjected to a continous flashing to a contious flashing in my eyes. |

unfortanetely nothing The room was cold and the air conditioning was roaring while you were trying to make to room warmer. The bathroom was not even getting warm after you wait it to be warm several hours. The TV channels in the room were not enough and the pay TV was not working either. They dedeucted the charity without advising |

Excellent location, staff very friendly and helpful, excellent breakfast. Room was small, not particularly comfortable and walls very thin - you can hear people just talking through the walls. The hotel was very busy with Christmas functions so service levels seemed to be compromised because of this. |

Two day stay at the Midland for buisness and leisure , excellant location for shopping and sightseeing and Christmas market ( 2 mins away ) , staff v.helpful and room a good size and very clean and v.quiet. Would book again for next visit . Lack of subsidised parking ( £17.00 for 24 hrs .. do not use valet parking as NCP 2 min away ) |

I have stayed at the Midland before and returned because of the service and comfort of the hotel. It is ideally situated for shopping theatre and dining and a comfortable hotel. However it was very busy as there was several functions on over that weekend, but it did not affect me personally. |

The location We had a meal at the French which was dreadful, the "chef's freebie" we were told was potato soup but it had no tast whatsoever and we both left ir as it was just like eating pure cream. it was austentatious and extremely poor value for money. We didn't order a sweet , cheese or coffee just wanted out of this over the top pretentious place. We have written to the Good Food Guide and enclosed our bill. |

V convenient for mcc - not souless like some chain hotels. Nice dry martini in the bar. Poor refurbishment in reception area (stylistically). Lack of parking, although I could have used the parking service if I really wanted. |
