Ideal for what we wanted , just somewhere to stay at reasonable rate. Unfortunately we had a big issue with noise on the first night due to a couple having a very big domestic. To be fair the reception did warns us several times and quite insistant we were aware that a private party had been booked. Its just that at no point did any staff intervene to stop the noise, i'm not sure wether they have 24hr reception. However as I said, the hotel did warn us and you cant blame them for guest behaviour and it would def not stop me from staying here again.

The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. We were made to feel very welcome. We are even considering holding our daughters wedding at the Mill Hotel and discussed this with the manager. It has improved enormously since we stayed there 4 years ago and this is wholly down to the staff and management. Breakfast was a delightful experience. We were offered a smoking room, which are very few and far between these days! Good range of drinks at the bar, if a little pricey. The bathroom has a few fittings that didn't work and wasn't up to the usual hotel standard for cleanliness, but this was due to the age of the suite not effort.

For the price, a one night stay would be reasonable, However me and my boyfriend will not be returning to The Mill, the tea/coffee making facilities were poor, the room cold, and became damp when the curtains had been shut for longer than couple hours. The bed not big enough and uncomfortable, and tv was the smallest I've ever seen. We did not sample the food, instead we preferred to eat across the road.

I was taking my motorbike for some work to a garage about a mile away from the Mill, so had an overnight stay there rather than a ridiculously early start and a 90-mile ride on the morning it was booked in for. A large part of the place was closed due to, I think, a burst pipe some time prior to my stay, so the bar was a bit of a lash-up, and the only place to sit was a small lounge next to reception, but it wasn't a problem at all. To sum up - a good price, comfy bed, cracking breakfast and friendly staff.

The Manager was very attentive and eager to please. The room was pleasant and the bed very comfy. A bit too quiet not many people about would have been good to have some background music playing.

The staff and owners of the hotel were extremely helpful - my car broke down whilst I was there and they really put themselves out to help me. Nothing was too much trouble.

Friendly welcome upon arrival. Bed was really comfortable. People letting doors slam shut when getting back to room in early hours of the morning (it was saturday night and a wedding function downstairs).

The rooms were dirty (the shower curtain smelled of urine) and the decor and furniture very dated. The reception area was sub-standard and built from very shoddy materials; this led on to the breakfast/dining area which smelled very dirty and stale. The staff at breakfast were dressed in shabby clothing and the kitchen visible from the reception was dirty (kitchen rubbish and debris had been swept underneath the shelving and left there) while breakfast was being cooked. If I owned this hotel I would have concerns about passing a health and safety inspection. I would not recommend the hotel but the sleep was uninterupted despite a wedding party accomodating several rooms on the same evening.

we only stayed 1 night at The Mill Hotel, and were a little concerned after reading other reviews. Bearing in mind it is only a 3 star hotel, we found it satisfactory, although it is tired looking and is in need of a refit. We used it for convenience as we were attending a funeral in the village.

Good price The rooms were disgusting. Mould on the shower curtains. The carpet hadnt been hoovered in probably 6 mounths. The shower was awfull. The shower head didn't stay in position because it was that old which resulted in puddles of water on the floor All in all £30 for a twin was fair but not worth a penny more
