Whilst the room was very clean and comfortable and the breakfast excellent we found that the hotel lacked a 'warm atmosphere'. The reception area was particularly sparse and not as welcoming as when we stayed at the Mill a few years ago,

If we were to be very picky we would say that the TV in the room was very small. We couldn't have watched it from the bed.

Staff were very good and Hotel was clean.

The room was very very shoddy, the panel on the bath was badly cracked and the wall paper was peeling off the wall behind the bed. We both felt we had to sleep fully clothed as the room was so grubby.

Wi-Fi only available in and near to the reception area. No Wi-Fi in the bedrooms. Bedroom decor, a little tired.

stayed A couple of times at this hotel first time wth my little girl 2 yrs stay was great travelcot in the room must say I was impressed with the cot bedding very nice I think the ladies name is debbie well thanks very much we enjoyed our night wiil see you soon lisa campbell

I stayed at The Mill for the night when taking my son to uclan (Preston) and as we were coming from Bournemouth wanted a night somewhere off the motoways and close to Preston. Having made my choice via a web search I left Bournemouth not really knowing what The Mill was going to be like and all I can say it that it was brilliant and far exceeded my expectations. The room (a twin) was lovely and had all you wish for in a hotel. The en-suite was spotlessly clean and the linens were lovely and crisp. We decided to have a snack in the evening and yet again it was superb - I ordered a Beef and Cucumber sandwich and it was made with proper beef (not that packet stuff!) and my son had a Teriaki Wrap (which a tasted and was wonderful). I cannot recomment The Mill enough - it is in a wonderful setting and would I ever stay there again the answer would be a resounding yes!!!

When we arrived to check in we were told I had'nt made a booking! When I explained I had booked and paid online we were then 'told' (not asked) to go away for half an hour while they looked online for the booking. When we returned we were made to feel very unwelcome, told our room number but not given directions or shown to our room. Whilst looking for our room some guy came up & shouted to us if we didnt stop making so much noise we would be kicked out?? I said it was'nt us as we had only just arrived. I feel absolutelty disgusted with the way we were treated probably because we are a young couple!! We have never experienced such ignorance & felt very intimidated. I would never ever return to this hotel & would definately not recommed it to anyone.

Everything, the food was excellent, the staff very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Room was clean and comfortable

Location, room size.

Unfortunatley picked a night when a wedding reception was being held. No sleep at all during the night, due to paper thin walls music and people returning to rooms. Ask if one is being held before booking, particularly if you want to sleep. This was a one night stop over for us before travelling to Scotland, some sleep would have been nice!

We felt very relaxed and comforable during our stay.

The only thing we didn't like was one of the cup on the hospitality tray had lipstick on it but we soon washed it we didn't complain as we had easily sorted it.

Very tired 1970's decor. Bathroom clean but very old and worn. Bedroom furniture falling to pieces.
