Location & restaurant
Bathroom in poor condition
Location near to Broughton Astley
shabby bathrooms and toilet.
the food was excellent along with the service
we stayed here 20 years ago on our honeymoon and I don't think the rooms have had an update since that time. you need to make sure they are cleaned better and they are brought up to date and the windows also need painting or replacing
The room was dirty, the overall impression was run down and no investment. Cigarette butts all over the entrance, breakfast was the worst I have had in any hotel. The staff were 'adequate'. I could not and would not recommend this hotel.
Unclean rooms covered in dust, toilet disgusting, hook off toilet door left on floor very poor.
the hotel and staff are friendly and attentive and the food is superb.
The toilets, although clean had lost their enamel in the basin and was really off putting. Otherwise no complaints
a comfortable bed
bathroom was discusting black stains in and around the top of the toilet pan windows in the bedromm mould all around the window pains and stains all over the extra single bed ,never visit again
The room was clean.
The bathroom equipment needed replacement. ie toilet and washbasin were worn.
Restaurant was ok
The room, particulalry bathroom. Grimy and outdated.
Very conveniently placed for what we needed. The breakfast has improved quite considerably since last time I stayed. The room was spacious and comfortable.
The bathroom was a bit 'tired'.
Very comfortable bed Clean room Good shower Good location Room across courtyard from pub Helpful and friendly staff
nice location, handy for the pub and meals. tea and coffee in bed room. shower nice and powerful, good size towels comfy bed. good parking
shabby room and bathroom could do with a make over.
Food is good and priced well
Rooms need updating, window frames very poor, lots of bugs in bathroom
Large Room complete with settee and easy chair. Accomodation in 2 large purpose built units which were well separated from the "lively" pub and so quiet and peaceful. Good choice of food at reasonable prices at the pub - Hungry Horse franchise.
the staff and facilities were wonderful as always
the toilet was rather yukky, needs something to clean the inside up better, all black and mucky
Good value for money for accommodation and food. Good location for my work which was in Whetstone.
Room 16 was a bit gloomy. The bathroom had a smell of wet/damp wall plaster.
extra for breakfast, tiny TV, dirty bathroom with spilled paint in basin, toilet & bath, tired decor, rotting handrails on stairs.
Everything needed for my stay before and after diving at Stoney cove , easy to find
It had a roof, four walls, a bed and a loo. Included tea and coffee making facility.
Bar shut at 11.00 on a Saturday night. The room was basic, tiny TV, decor tired and the ensuite had a chipped toilet bowl and was dirty. Windows didn't close properly which is not good on the ground floor. In total need of a refurbishment! Breakfast only served until 9 am on a Sunday morning which I understand from other reviews may have been a lucky escape.
Location was ideal for where I needed to be I must say I stayed at the mill on the soar last year and thoroughly enjoyed my stay this is why we returned this year
Rooms in need of decoration . Had to wait 1 hour 15 mins for evening meal . Breakfast was awful full of grease and over cooked to the point I couldn't cut the bacon to eat it . Outside bedroom window was a huge generator that was very noisy so unable to have windows open and was very hot during the night . The doors had a gap in it which let a lot of noise through and kept me awake most of the night . The price of the room has increased but I feel they are not increasing the service to warrant the increase I would not stay here again .
the price the play ground the pub all good the location easy booking good set up
breakfast, no offers for kids wanted me to pay full price £7.50 for a 3 year old and a one year old each! What a racket most hotels they eat free! but half price reasonable. Room spelt of damp! No offer of help with my bags despite being alone and having two young kids stains in bathroom and sink I think just paint marks but looked awful.
The restaurant decided to stop serving food because the kitchen was too hot. A hotel without a restaurant??? No apologies from staff. Have never known a restaurant to shut because it's too hot. Absoloutely ridiculous
Bedroom was decorated nicely
Bathroom was in poor state, needed a new suite, plastering and re-decorating, way over priced for the type of accomondation, sheets were extremly poor quality, have had better sheets in hospital !!
Grounds to wander around and value of the food.
location pub and staff ok food fine.
The room stains on walls micro television bolted to table top bathroom I didn't want to shower in. Toilet bath and sink need taking out and renewing décor in general poor Reminds me off how Butlins used to be years ago. Bit of care and attention it has potential.
