The hotel was comfortable and located well for our purpose. This was my second visit to the mooring hotel. After my first visit i was really looking forward to it as the first visit was excellent. I have to say this visit was rather disappointing. maybe my expectation was too high from my first visit! i had my family with me this time! We were given room 29 on the top floor which was rather inconvenient with two children and luggage! The room consisted of 4 single beds! When we booked we advised them it was 2 Adult and 2 Young children! So to get 4 single beds was rather annoying! The room was clean and had tea and coffee facilities! The en suite had a damp ceiling and the seal around the shower was black! Breakfast was really good on Saturday morning and the staff was pleasant! On Sunday however the staff lacked enthusiasm, maybe from a heavy night out ! My wife was waiting for me and the kids to meet her in the restaurant and when we arrived she still had not been served this was about 12 minutes ! I had to notify a staff that we had not been served! Disappointed this time and not sure if I would go back !!

We visited here as a team competing at Wishaw Sports Centre and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The evening meal was excellent and our (complimentary) breakfast was more than adequate. Staff were friendly, fun and approachable. All seven of us said that we would visit this hotel again if we are in the area. only minor faults to be found was that there was some mould in our bathroom (probably from lack of ventilation when showering) and the third bed in the triple room was a collapsible bed - not quite as comfy as the other two.

The hotel was clean, comfortable and the staff were very pleasant, helpful and welcoming. We felt it was good value for money, especially with the excellent breakfast included in the price. As the hotel was described as being on the edge of a Country Park we expected a larger garden area surrounding the hotel and were a bit disappointed that it's actually situated beside a very busy main road. However this did not detract from the overall quality and service of the hotel.

good value all round, super friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms. I was looking forward to a nice Scottish breakfast and was a bit taken aback at being barked at and told to sit at the window (i really didnt want to sit there having a delicate head) by a female waitress yes, she might have been busy setting up for a christening but that does not wash with me. She let the side down to say the least, waited 20 mins for my food which was cold, hard ,couldnt cut the tattie scone, black pudding like a bullet and a LINK!!! sausage you can keep that, so sorry really unimpressed with the food such a shame as everyone else was outstanding

The room was very nice and spacious, very clean too. It is short drive to either Glasgow or Edinburgh. There are plenty of local amenities within walking distance. Breakfast is served until 10am on weekends. Longer hours would be nice.

Convenient to motorway, good breakfast, comfortable bed, good parking. Our bedroom was down a corridor by the kitchen probably because we had a dog. Very noisy staff until 1.45am.

I found it a lovely clean hotel, good size bedrooms. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Would definitely return if the need arises. I thought the breakfast finished a bit early. Missed it on the second day.

it was a lovely hotel. staff very welcoming. food was very good The room was way too cold, we were in room 2 as we went through the door to that part of the hotel you could actually feel the draught, we ordered morning papers, they were able to push them under the door as the space was so big. Would stay there again, but not in that part of the hotel. we should have complained.

The hotel was well located for my purpose as it was only a two minute drive to the motorway! The room was clean and looked very comfortable as I entered! It had all the facilities I required and WiFi was free and very very easy to log on. Breakfast was included in the price which was really good. All in all a very comfortable and relaxing stay and a good night sleep, would definitely stay again! Well done and keep up the great work!! Would have liked a better view from the window! (Room 4) Maybe provide a pen for writing on the comment card!!

Friendly staffs. I was given Room N.O 1, which was right opposite the kitchen - very noisy. I was woken up at 1:00 am by noise coming from the kitchen, it was going on for about an hour and I couldn't go back to sleep after.

One of the 2 rooms we had smelt very badly of cigarette smoke although we requested non-smoking rooms! Be careful if you take a dog as they are only allowed in certain rooms and are not allowed anywhere else in the hotel.
