The New Continental

Very friendly and welcoming. Lovely big spacious room. Left my purse there without realising and staff rang to let me know.It is in the post, thankfully! We would stay again. Went to see a gig at the Pavilions, which was a stone throw away, ideal location, everything nearby.

The car park. Not enough spaces for size of the hotel, unfortunately, and also had to pay £2 to park there even though staying at hotel.

The price was a major attraction for us, and also the fantastic locality for our evening at the Pavilions next door. It was really easy, the staff were friendly and courteous and didn't mind at all when we asked if we could park our car in the car park for the rest of the day, which I think was brilliant.

The pillows were really uncomfortable unfortunately.

The location was perfect for our needs, and the car parking facilities were very good and secure.

*Decorating was in progress and some areas looked worse for wear, but actual room was lovely. * was woken up at 5am my a noise group coming in .

I felt that paying £60 without breakfast for a single room with shower when my wife had a room with a double bed and a bath for the same price was indefensible and I asked the receptionist to refer this to the Manager so as to have an explanation in due course

reception area was very attractively decorated, the staff on reception very helpful and friendly. The room was very quiet.

The room we were allocated badly needs redecorating - rather shabby and dated

The friendliness of the staff at the Hotel was excellent. The room was impeccable

The only thing I can say that I did not like about the Hotel was the fact that you did not supply a dairy milk alternative soya etc., I had to have either toast (which I have a wheaet intollerance to) or a fry up. If you could supply or at least ask if there is any requirments in your booking form then it would solve the only problem I had. I would how.ever still reccomment this Hotel to anyone staying in Plymouth

it was a lovely room, comfortable bed and enjoyed the fact that it had shower and a bath, we had a good view and could use the facilities the hotel had to offer

i did ask for champagne to be waiting in the room as it was my partners 50th birthday, this was not done, after ringing a few days before our arrival. we also ordered breakfast in bed on arrival for the next morning for 9 am this was 15 minutes late and spoilt the surprise as he was up and dressed the time it arrived

TV choice poor an very bad picture - ie all 4 channels had major interference ( snow affect ) no channel 5 ad voulme poor on the few channels you could see

All staff extremely helpful. Undergoing tasteful refurbishment. Secure parking. Independantly owned.

when we booked on line we were offered a smoking room, when we arrived we discovered that the hotel was all non smoking, whilst this didn't cause a problem I do think that you need to update your website.
