The staff were very friendly and helpful Decor could have been a little spruced up and a bedsite light would have been nice, also a plug socket for the kettle that did not involve putting the kettle on the floor to boil. But it was a budget hotel and served it's purpose of cheap accomodation in the right place.

Bathroom was very good and the bed comfortable. Thankfully the matress was not covered in plastic. Breakfaast was a good deal for the price and the staff were friendly and helpful Bedroom was rather stuffy and hot to the point of being uncomfortable. Opening the window did not help and it was difficult to close again. Security was further compromised by an adjacent yard on the same level. The TV remote control hardly worked and so I could not adjust the picture which was very crude.

Staff is friendly, there are good transport links to city centre, there are nice shops, restaurants, bakery and pubs nearby. I have been to better hotels for that value in other EU countries, but probably it's just London... The shower had its own opinion.

Whilst cheap, the room was clean and if you are just using it as a base to explore the surrounding area it is fine.

Staff were friendly and bedding was clean. Hotel could do with a major refurb the bedrooms are looking tired. The windows could do with being double glazed and replaced as the noise from traffic through the night will keep any light sleeper awake. Some of the facilities such as t,v don't function properly and taking a £10 deposit to get a remote control is very unusual.

hot water c I never have a such horrible hotel experience before!! 1. when we entered in to my friend's room, we found that someone's dirty cloth were put on the table, then, we even found a mouse in that room. quite ridiculous!! when we told it to the reception, we were shocked by the staff's attitude again. They did not feel very apologized and they even said :" it is very common in every hotel" . i never met such ridiculous and terrible hotel!! 2. Then, the location is very far from the Oval underground station, it takes us more than 30 minutes. 3. Moreover, there is no elevator in the hotel, so we have to carried the luggage to the fourth floor by the narrow stairs. 4. it is very noisy during the night because of the poor sound-proofing and the door suddenly shutting!! i realllllllllllllllllllllly do not think this hotel should be recommended !!

Very clean and modern bathroom. Comfortable beds. 24hr reception. Due to no double glazing you could feel quite a draft from the window.

Friendly staff, useful tourist advice in lobby (e.g. what number bus to get to various attractions. Vending machines in lobby. V. reasonably priced breakfast (although we didn't have breakfast so can't comment on the quality) Strange smell on stairs I don't call a room a double when the bed is pushed up against a wall meaning that you can't walk all the way round. Thin walls

Friendly, open people, breakfast healthy for a wheat intolerant person, fattening side of it small and we eat ourselves literally to death in the west. Apple and a yoghurt much appreciated. Single room price could be reduced by £5, much more economic for a couple of friends who don't snore to share a double room. Share a double room, it's only £5 more per room.

Location - short bus ride to Brixton Academy. Locale - pubs, shops and places to eat very near. Cost. Much longer walk than advertised to Oval underground station (20 - 30 minutes; not 10 minutes!). Double room very small - really a single; the smallest double room I have ever stayed in. No Lift - fi you are on the third floor it is a lot of stairs to climb. Room decor very tired and tatty. Cleanliness of room left quite a bit to be desired (coffee stains up walls, dried blood on bedside cabinet, etc.)! Smell of drains on stairs and in rooms.

Within easy reach of the city by bus or taxi, £65 a night and no breakfast included not even a peice of toast! No lifts to any of the three floors, very steep stairs,, rooms not as nice as the pictures shown in thier add, poor water pressure on the shower, no complementary shampoo, shower gell or soap in the bathroom, my honest overall rating would be 4/10 , I would only stay here again if I could not find another with vacancies.

Breakfast was very reasonably priced at £3.00 though service a bit chaotic and in the basement. Room and bathroom tiny. Did not get a wink of sleep as bed small for a couple in very cramped conditions. This was called a Double room !!!!!!!.....no way.
