The location was excellent with the town a handy 2 minutes away. The staff were helpful and friendly and we received a warm welcome. The room was large and clean and check-out time was a very reasonable 11am.

We were in a disabled room and it was right next to the boiler. The noise from the boiler continued all night ensuring we got no sleep. The room also looked out onto a brick wall. Not a nice view. The drinks at the bar were very expensive and the leisure centre that we had free access to was over a mile away! Not much use.

The friendly helpfull staff, the food was good service excellent nice view of the gardens from our room.

Location. Excellent shower. Comfortable beds. Decor and ambience. Excellent breakfast (we didn't have dinner). The ability to access the nearby Bannatyne gym and spa.

Parking was an issue because the bays are not marked out so you are reliant on guests parking sensibly....

Rooms very small, finding the room in the first place was very difficult as it was between the floors and no maps/ directions were around. Wake-up call didn't work - they never called. Breakfast nice but fairly basic.

Excellent food. Choice of breakfast which was very good. We stay in the de luxe rooms which provide fruit,chocolates ,bottled water and bath robes. The bed was large and comfortable.

trying to find the way into the hotel entrance . . . eventually i was guided by the North Star!

Stayed for a function food was good room comfortable and clean

We were not please with the fire alarm going off at 7.20am then again some fifteen minutes later, whilst we understand there could have been a fire, a decent explanation would have been nice regarding why the alarm went off.

Quiet, relaxing well appointed room and very friendly and helpful staff – good value for money. Room service food and breakfast excellent.

Stay at hotel inc free spa which is great but a long walk to it. Have to take towels from hotel and return them so that's not good ..

Provided a fan as default - a genuine gold star for me.

Liked the restaurant decor. Our room was basic and more suited to a business client but we booked at short notice because of the price. Seeing the rest of the hotel's decor I think there would be nicer rooms available.

It`s very central, the room was a good size and the breakfasts were excellent. The staff were all goodnatured.

The bed was uncomfortable, it had some sort of mattress topper on that didn`t fit. Outside one of the windows was a very powerful garden light. The wardrobe had doors that swung open to far, one had a mirror on it making things quite dangerous.

The Room was exactly right, every requirement in the bathroom had been thought of. It was quiet even though a Wedding party was on.

My friend enjoyed her evening meal and so did I, but I was unable to eat the Lamb that was served. It was not tender enough for me. Everthing else was excellent.

We enjoy the atmosphere, location and friendly staff. Nothing is to much trouble and you are made to feel very welcome. We had our wedding here 4 yrs ago in May and keep going back.

There is nothing I dont like, but it would be nice if there were more events ie) bbq in summer, different bands and a nice big screen for sport???

The room was lovely. Well decorated, clean, comfortable & spacious. Very happy for a last minute booking.

The restaurant was very full and only offered a 3 course meal. So we ate in the bar. Our burger and salad took about an hour to come out.

The food, service and staff where excellent. The room was really clean and tastefully decorated with plenty of space and a great big bed.
