For the cost I was'nt over impressed. The draught beer was rubbish The Carlsberg tasted like the pipes had just been cleaned and had some detergent left in the pipes and the San Miguel was flat end of choice ! The buffet food was passable, Just. There were two remotes for the tv in the room, no instructions as to why, I am a TV engineer, and I found it difficult to negociate two remotes ? You also provided two coffees, THANKYOU to last two people Saturday afternoon and sunday morning WOW ! All of the above is not a complaint Just an observation, which may effect my choice in future

The rooms were immaculate and very up to date with a bath and a power shower. The mattress and pillows were comfy. We had 6 pillows altogether. The bar lounge was very welcoming with food to buy The bed was too small as we are used to a king size. The room was very hot and the windows could not open more than 2 inches. The food was very expensive so we ate in the lounge bar. Bottles of wine l thought were a bit expensive too,, tv difficult to activate as you needed to use 2 remotes.

The food in the hotel was poor and I reported this to the restaurant manager. I asked if he ever ate in the restaurant to check what the service and food was like, his reply was no. I suugested that he should as the breakfast was poor, cold greasy and not kept topped up.

We were told breakfast did not start until 08:00 on Saturday and as we were checking out at 07:15 had to order a continental breakfast only to the room. A hot and substantial breakfast was sorely missed !

The spa had been the main reason for our short break in Nottingham and was excellent. The room was spacious and the bathroom was perfect. The staff were extremely kind and obliging and we very much enjoyed our stay in this modern, efficient and comfortable hotel None at all - the heated towel rail didn't come on; I mentioned it to the floor housekeeper and it was done within half an hour

Good quality hotel very good location for our visit to Trowell. Disappointed with the amount of milk available in the room. Enough for one cup of tea!! At breakfast the young man cooking the breakfast needs more training on how to cook eggs. He allowed the eggs to run out we had to wait whilst he cooked more eggs which were left to cook whilst he disappeared into the kitchen. Seven people we eventually waiting for eggs. We had to ask the cook who appeared to finish off the eggs ! Apart from the delay the breakfast was good.

On arrival staff courteous / friendly. Loved the fact that I could use the swimming pool free as included in the room rate - room very comfortable, but very warm, despite portable air cooler units in the room. Breakfast terrific in the morning
