Situated near marina/port/beach and at the same time in the midst of goings on in the town. The room had the only window turned towards backyard, and the smoke and smells from adjoining restaurant were filling the room. There were no other venting means, so we had to bear with the smells. Sea-view rooms presumably don't have this flaw, and there comfort and value for money are good.

Some of the reception staff were very helpful. The beds were comfortable the showers were good, nice TV(flat screen) the hotel is fully non smoking and for an old hotel(building) it was refreshingly free of the smell of smoke. The fact that there was no elevator. This made it exceedingly difficult to manage a two year old child as well as a baby in a pram. There was no parking lot and since we arrived at 02:30 we were not aware of the parking regulations and received a ticket the following morning. There is however an arrangement with the long term parking garage close by and it would have been good to have been informed of this before we booked the hotel. The sea view was fine but noisy. When we booked two rooms we assumed they would be on the same floor and preferably close to one another. We were allocated rooms on different floors, so make sure you ask for adjoining or rooms together when booking. The food wasn't great.

Close to restaurants and harbour No parking on site. Our room on 3rd floor with no lift. Extremely tiny room. Extremely tiny shower room. Could not operate shower as lever too stiff to move. Extremely hot with only one very small window.

The Location of the hotel was excellent as was the friendly attentive professionalism of the Staff. Great Reasturant None from Us a lot was said about local noise from other reviews but having had a Sea View room we found it no more intrusive than the road noise at home in London

I felt the room was overpriced. It was small and in the eaves and too hot at night. Breakfast was not included in the 75 pounds a night price. No parking. Bed was extremely soft.

The location of the hotel is very good, right on the harbour near the town bars and restaurants There are no lifts in the hotel so walking up endless stairs with a case is a nightmare as it's like a rabbit warren. I stayed right at the very top of the hotel so it was very disappointing that the noise of the bars were so loud plus you could quite clearly hear peoples conversations even with the windows locked. The bars dont close until 3am not good if you're trying to sleep. There is no parking at the hotel so you can buy a voucher for the multi story car park which is over a 5 mins walk away. There is no place to stop outside the hotel to drop off bags or pick people up.

It was in a good location and the bar area was good The walls were so thin you could everything and I mean everything from adjacent rooms. Which meant we did not sleep at all for the one night we stayed there, there was also a vent of some kind outside the window and it was droaning on all night, the room was very hot but you could not have the window open as there was a terrace for private flats right outside with the vent, although it is not the hotels fault that the guests in the next room had a load of people in there room shouting and being loud at 4am in the morning,

Close to beach; harbour and boating pool a ten minute walk away. Clean and staff friendly and helpful. No parking facilities but you could buy a 24 hour parking ticket for the multi storey car park from the hotel reception. However, this was told to me after I had just fed the parking meter with a lot of money. Room only had view to three other walls and huge pipes with noisey air vents/conditioner /extractor. Was hoping for a harbour view. Room was very hot even with the window open, with the air extractor outside.

The Staff were really helpful, they really put themselves out when my husband had packed two left black shoes for the wedding we went to. The Gen Manager offered to go home and bring his in, and the receptionist told us her partner took the same size shoe, so she got them to us within 15 mins. And the next morning the same receptionist was really helpful after a lorry hit our car whilst parked outside the Hotel causing the wing mirror to come off, she sent a fax to the company and gave us contact numbers. Very impressed!!!

Went to the open golf, location great, staff good & friendly, The hotel is more like a pub, coffee shop, resturant with rooms but it works well, The bar food was exellent the rooms tidy. The hotel is on the very lively harbour side with plenty to do. The area is very lively hence the noise at night till late, so put the tv on timer and drop off, Price a little high but it was the open golf weekend.

The staff were very friendly and the location excellent, near bars and restaurants. There's a good seafood restaurant and pleasant bar in the hotel. Prices a bit inflated because of the Open Golf hence the lower score for value for money.

The staff were very helpful when we asked to change room as it was tiny and looked onto a brick wall 2 foot away !. Had to pay extra for a superior room which was nice. Staff were very friendly and resolved problems quickly. Standard rooms are very small, the rooms with sea views are very noisey as there are bars below. Many of the rooms without views look onto a brick wall of the next building. Its a long walk up to the 4th floor !.
