It was a very relaxing end to a very busy day shopping, theatre and sightseeing in London ,the peace and quite was great. When we checked in my credit card was charged twenty more pounds than it should of been, i was told this was for extras while we were there, i think extras should only be charged after we have had them and not be for.

Beautiful hotel in a great location near the m25 for an overnight stop-over. I don't know if it was just our room (608) but the bed was too short ! I am not particularly tall at around 5'10", but my feet were hanging over the end of the bed! Made for an uncomfortable night.

The Building and Grounds are very picturesque. Coffee and tea points to help yourself to was unexpected but very nice. Food was very nice and the hotel staff were very helpful & courteous, the 3 course menu at £15 was reasonable in price and every course was delicious. We were in room 729 and the mattress felt like it had seen better days, we didn't bring this to the attention of hotel staff, so I am sure they would of changed our room if we had. My wife felt we were too visible from the car park and felt net curtains should have been provided, we mentioned this in the hotels feedback, but not during the stay. Neither issue hampered our stay we had a lovely time, but I have mentioned them just to help them make the experience perfect

The lovely location so close to london and yet felt as if it was in the countryside. The old part of the building was spectacular, the room spaces in the old part felt elegant. Only the double bed was a bit too small and the matress too bouncy for a good nights sleep with a tall and restless husband.

My room was part of a stable block which opened out into a courtyard. There was a wedding in the courtyard and a speaker at my door so could not hear the tv. Complained to reception but the manager never returned the call as promised.

The restaurant is first class. The bar has a great atmosphere. The rooms in the Mansion House could really use some aircon. Bar understaffed.

I thought the hotel was absolutely beautiful, the staff were extremely helpful and polite, the room was a good size and clean, the grounds were beautifully kept, the food was plentiful and to a high standard, there was absolutely nothing to complain about, I would and will be highly recommending this hotel to all my friends, and I will be returning.

The building and location was very nice and avalability of food and drink at all times was good. Rooms were also up to a good standered I would recomend that the staff were more friendlier and more welcoming as I felt rather uncomfortable around them because.i was not a buisiness woman.

We only stayed here because it is so close to our son's home. Reception were welcoming - the location (ie park) is beautiful. The Bar totally lacks atmosphere. 10.00 pm on Saturday night and the barman had cleared away all the contents.

The staff were helpful when we tried to arrange a trip into london. They kindly printed off the underground details for us. The reception staff on arrival were very friendly and helpful. The room was immaculate, everything we needed to make a stay so much more enjoyable. We would liked to have gone for a swim, but hey you cant have everything.

near to location of family party and very reasonable price. It catered for food when you required it .you could get something at anytime of the day or night.Nice and quiet as set in its own grounds and a long way away from the main roads. the only downsides were no biscuits on tea and coffee making facilities in the room!and the doors brass furniture rattled when anyone closed there doors quite annoying when in the early hours.

The grounds were fabulous; The room I stayin was comfortable neat and presentable; the bathroom was nice and clean and the power shower was wonderful (could have stayed under it all day). The bed was a little uncomfortable, the floorboards were very squeaky, the doors in the hallways banged shut disturbing sleeping guests. The decor in hallways looked tired and the carpets stale and musty (my opinion).

The hotel was great value for money , room was excellent . The breakfast was " first class " & the waiting staff most professional . We chose this Hotel because of the price offered , as it turned out location being further out than we planned from the city was no problem at all . We intend to stay there again , thank you De Vere Venues ! All okay.

“We arrived after 9pm and were welcomed by the excellent front desk staff - both the guys were extremely pleasant and gave great customer service, but all of the hotel staff we came across were excellent . The size of the room was a great surprise - far bigger than many high end hotels 'superior' rooms.. It was warm and comfortable with a huge bed and plenty of tea/coffee/milk. Breakfast was very good with a wide selection of food and quick service. The hotel was quiet, in a convenient location to where we were going and excellent value for money.” Patricia, Driffield |
