The Old Malt House HotelRadford, BA2 0QF Timsbury (Show map) Very good, Score from 37 reviewsA delightful family run country hotel, just 15 minutes from Bath and Wells. It is in the beautiful countryside with restaurant, lounge/bar, free parking and delightful views from all rooms. Built in 1835 as a Malt House for the local Radford brewery, The Old Malt House Hotel is now privately owned. It is in the small hamlet of Radford surrounded by beautiful countryside, just 6 miles from the historic city of Bath. From the moment you set foot in The Old Malt House, you will be greeted with a warm, friendly welcome. The accommodations include 10 tastefully decorated bedrooms, all of which have private bathtub/shower rooms, TVs, tea and coffee making facilities and stunning views out over the countryside. Two of the twin rooms are on the first floor giving easier access for guests who are less mobile. The hotel has a fully licensed restaurant and cozy lounge bar with open fire place. In the restaurant, there is a full menu and a comprehensive selection of wines, all of which are well-priced. During the summer months, the terrace with its stunning views through the Cam Valley is the perfect setting for you to enjoy a drink before or after your meal. Hotel Rooms: 10

Friendly, helpful reception, good communication, good food, nice people. Entrance door gave bad first impression. Minor underfloor water leak onto bedroom carpet was unfortunate.

It was a most comfortable stay. Room 6 was an ample double room we could relax in. The breakfast was wonderful. The only small thing that would be an investment of c.£80 - would be to renew the 24 table mats in the dining room. New ones would make such a difference!!

The room was clean and comfortable. I thought that the facilities were poor for the price. I have stayed in B&Bs for less with better facilties - some shampoo and conditioner and soap to wash hands in the bathroom would have been nice, and I thought that the £5 for the early check in was a bit steep as the room was ready and there was no one in there, and all I wanted to do was leave my bag. We were not made to feel particularly welcome when we first arrived, perhaps because we arrived early and it was unexpected.I Also thought breakfast until only 9am was poor. I woke at 9am (on a Sunday after a wedding the night before) to find I had missed breakfast.

It was a lovely family run friendly hotel, I was made to feel very welcome and the owners were lovely. While the service was good I felt the food let's them down. But would recommended it to anyone and I will be going back again for a leisure stay rather than a working stay next time. I felt the food while not awful could have just been that bit better I ate dinner and breakfast on my second night and it was cold. The table mats were also vert dirty and stained and while ok for breafast think when you are paying £16.00 for a main course they could be better.

The Old Malt House is a very friendly, very clean, lovely place to stay. It was particularly good for us as we are a family of five and it can be quite hard to find hotels/B&B's that have enough room.

The hotel was set in pleasant countryside, and a short drive from a major city; it had a family feel to it, and the staff were very accommodating.

From the time we arrived, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Jen and David always went out of thier way to give advise on the area and any other general questions we had. The room was spotless and the meals exceptional. We are already planning our next visit. First class!!!

The hosts and their staff could not have been more welcoming. The went to every effort to make us comfortable and helped with the elderly relatives and their poor mobility. The evening meal was excellent and I would most definitely stay there again. Could improve on choice of beers which was limited but real ale was well kept.

We stayed here for two nights whilst attending a wedding in Bath and a reception in a village nearby. The staff were very friendly and even typed up directions to a nereby rural address we would not have found easily. The food was excellent (beautifully cooked) and the service and staff could not be faulted. The owner even went so far as to give my husband a lift to save him walking to the village. We would definitely stay here and would recommend this place to anyone wanting to be close to Bath (15 minutes by car) but also wishing to explore the surrounding area and countryside. Very good indeed.

The staff both in the Bar in an evening, and serving meals in the dining Room were friendly, efficient, and a definite asset to the hotel. The owners need to have a little more rapport with clients. Our bedroom was quite chilly on our arrival. I accept that the weather was unusually cold, but more the reason to ensure that rooms were comfortable for new guests. The dining Room was cold throughout our stay, as was the bar lounge. Drinks prices in bar too expensive.

Lo que más nos ha gustado ha sido su fantástica ubicación y trato familiar. La única pega que podría ponerse es la falta de presión del agua de la ducha.
