Score from 154 reviews
The Old Manor is in the countryside looking out over the historic Cotswold market town of Bradford on Avon. It has free Wi-Fi, free parking and individually decorated luxury rooms. The Old Manor Hotel consists of an original Georgian Manor House and several converted farm buildings. It mixes original character with modern comfort. The rooms are furnished in a Victorian style with old paintings, antique beds and modern mattresses. The rooms have views of the Old Manor's quiet surroundings as well as private bathrooms. The restaurant is the farm's old converted milking parlor and has a huge stone fireplace. Food is freshly made, using local, seasonal produce. The traditional pub-style bar serves local real ales. We really liked the quaint oldish feel of the place - takes you back in time. Staff were excellent, food very good and room was comfortable and well maintained. We loved bradford on avon so ideal location and easy train ride to bath. No complaints at all although the room was smaller than we are used to.

The receptionist was very friendly, welcoming and efficient, the room was very attractively laid out, with plenty of storage space and good heating, and the bed was wonderfully comfortable. There was no noise whatsoever, and in the morning we enjoyed the sunrise over the adjacent field. The ensuite bathroom had everything we needed, too. The dining room was comfortable and we had a delicious breakfast. The only thing that was less than perfect was that the toilet had a very weak flush, but it didn't spoil our stay at all; everything else more than made up for it.

Hotel is relaxed with a left field aproach to antiques and design and all the rooms are different Carpets and tv,s all look old and on arrival the hotel looks run down particularly on a cold winters morning when the lack of greenery reveals number of dilapidated sheds

It was a very old and beautiful building. Located near the town, the staff were very polite and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. The rooms very a little cosey but all the little extras were there. Maybe a proper shower would be good but the bath was fine.

The location was Ideal, the staff were all polite, good food plenty of it, and it was always served nice and hot. this was our second visit to this hotel and it will not be our last. My wife is a vegitarian and was well looked after with her food, nothing was too much trouble in fact the owner made sure there was something special for her to eat on the Saturday night which my wife thougherly enjoyed. The room was lovely, bed nice and comfortable.

Rooms were good size, comfortable and very well kitted out. Breakfast was very good. I would prefer to have soem contact with the Old Manor House either by walking though it to the reception area, eating in it or staying in it but none of these we happened so it was a bit of a let down given it is called the Old Manor House. Evening meals wer a bit bland

I had a superior room at the Old Manor for an overnight stay to attend a wedding. The room was spotlessly tidy and had a very comfortable brass bed with beautifully crisp bedlinen. The room was furnished with country style furniture which gave a very homely and authentic country house feel. The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant throughout our stay. The full english breakfast was also excellent. However, I would still highly recommend the old manor as providing excellent value for money. My only slightly negative comment would be that the check out time of 10:30 was too early, especially on a Sunday. This detracted slightly from the relaxed atmosphere induced by the pleasant surroundings.

Old Manor Hotel has a rustic and homely charm about it. The staff are very welcoming and informative. The room was very comfortable with quite a spacious ensuite bathroom. The setting is quiet and idyllic, surrounded by beautiful countryside and being set well back from the road. It is also close to the lovely town of Bradford on Avon. We hired bikes in the town, and were able to cycle to and from the hotel in a matter of a few minutes. The cooked breakfast was very small, and not all the food on the menu was available.

The staff were pleasant and helpful. The food was delicious and the rooms were original and in character with the hotel. The location was central for many activities and there was ample parking. My father's room had a wet floor shower which was ideal for him as he has some difficulty with getting into and out of baths. Only minor point was that some chairs/sofas in the bedrooms were very low. These items of furniture enhanced the character of the rooms but were unsuitable for the elderly or anyone who has difficulty getting up once seated.

“Gorgeous quiet location surrounded by lovely gardens. We didn't have time to make use of tennis courts etc but again, lovely setting for a tennis match. A country house hotel as you imagine it should be yet well placed for the larger attractions of Bath, Lackock etc and Corsham itself is worth walking around.” Judith, Ramsey, Huntingdon, Cambs |
