good food and good service, very friendly
Very helpful and cheerful staff. Good choice of food in restaurant which was delicious. Wonderful breakfast in the morning. We would certainly return.
Really happy staff. Comfy bed. Great food.
Room was comfortable, very clean & tastefully decorated. Dinner in the Milking Parlour was excellent and good portions and staff very attentive and friendly
Cooked breakfast was very disappointing compared to the standard of the meal we had there the previous evening.!! Didn't want everything that was in the English breakfast so just chose the items I liked, portions were meagre and streaky bacon for breakfast???!! I don't think so, we are not in the USA!!! Only downside to dinner was that table was booked for 8pm and were not shown to our table until 840pm
The Old Manor House is a beautiful building. The breakfast was very good. The location is good for Longleat.
The water was cold!
Rooms have a farmhouse feel, very comfortable, restaurant was first class with a wide ranging menu and the staff couldn't do enough, went for a relaxing break in the countryside and this hotel and service ticked all the boxes, will certainly book again
Locality of room to restaurant meant we were able to dine whilst our little one slept, have a baby monitor on and see the room from our table. Amazing Staff were very friendly and food amazing.
Room was fairly dated and for over a £100 with out breakfast we felt the price wasn't justified.
Unfortunately we had children sleeping alone in the next room having asked if there were children staying at the hotel we were told no only to find out they were checked in as adults complained but owners not replied!!
Very pretty hotel with gorgeous little rooms. We didn't visit the bar or restaurant so would l love to go back and try these out. All staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful.
Rooms were absolutely lovely only negative is walls are a little thin. If you have loud neighbours you can hear them slightly. I would visit the hotel again, so this definitely isn't a deal breaker, just something to consider if you are a light sleeper
Four Poster period room was filled with Character, my wife loved the roll top caste iron bath. The evening menu and service was superb! Breakfast was relaxed and a good quality.
Nothing, we will book again if visiting the area!
Excellent service at breakfast good reception staff
Noisy room - room 12
The gentleman who checked us in was very friendly and gave us all the information we needed about the local area. He also upgraded our room as we arrived which was very kind. Our room was in the main house, it was a beautiful space and had great views over the fields. A highlight for us was great complementary products in the bathroom. I will definitely be back again.
Our bathroom door had a large gap underneath it so you could hear people walking past and talking in the corridor.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Ideal location for Bradford on Avon and Bath.
Slightly dated bathroom although it was clean.
Everything about this place was absolutely perfect. Especially wonderful was the food; their onsite restaurant served the most beautiful, creative, healthy and enjoyable breakfasts and dinners, and I say that as someone who eats really well. The accommodations, the setting, the staff....all just spectacular. Can't recommend the place highly enough!
Not being able to stay longer!
Bath . Shower
The food was terrific. The service excellent. The rooms great
Room was great
friendly staff, warm welcome. good food and beverages.
bathroom door leading onto corridor had 3 inch gap at bottom, privacy issue. But Did not spoil our stay. We paid £75 for room which was fair, but on discounted rate, would not pay the £115 as standard.
The bedroom was quaint and in good taste
The menu did not cater for coeliac's and the Breakfast described as an "English breakfast" was pathetically small in quantity. The bubble and squeak was the size of a golf ball! The managers would do well to realise that however nice a dish looks it still has to fill the main criteria of food which is to provide sustenance
The politeness of the staff at all times.
The staff were fantastic and the restaurant was superb. Try the House red wine (Rare) delicious. Smoked salmon (smoked in their own Smokery) and scrambled eggs (from their chickens) for breakfast - lovely. A very relaxing stay in a beautiful hotel.
the food was excellant as were the staff very pleasant and polite.
last night of stay people in room above us very heavy footed on the ceiling above so lack of sleep.
Very friendly and helpful staff made us welcome. Quiet location but close enough to Bath and Trowbridge.
Extra pillows would have been good
Lovely rooms and friendly staff.
