Close to airport and near Bath where I was bringing my son to uni.Staff v helpful and friendly.parking closeby.V good value and lovely quaint surroundings
Bit further from Bath than I expected but half an hour drive not bad
Friendly staff. A warm welcome. A super comfortable bed. Whole place full of character. Room 7 has a smashing wet-room shower. Food in the restaurant was good. Breakfast menu has a good choice of dishes.
This is a lovely Hotel that is only two stops on the train from the centre of Bath and only £4.10p return. The food both breakfast and dinner is of the highest quality. The room was spotlessly clean, nicely furnished with free wifi. The staff were very friendly and we would definitely stay here again.
There are times when the bar is unmanned and I had to go looking for someone to serve me. There is limited parking for the number of guests.
Convenient for avon valley railway
Staff at our table for evening meal didn't appear comfortable waiting on us - they may have only just started.
The character of the hotel it's self; the outside rooms were compact and clean. It had a homely feel and was quiet.
The room lacked the character of the main hotel and had no heating controls. In autumn the room was freezing and the heating only kicked in at night (around 10pm). The bar closed at 11pm and there wasn't many places to eat/drink nearby.
Rattling noise when water in the cistern was filling up. Poor value for money.
Bar area Proximity to wedding we were attending
Noisy electric loo Bed on a sloping floor Staff not v professional Over priced
Excellent staff, very helpful, great food.
We knew it was an older place, but the room did need some TLC...
Friendly and efficient welcome, no fuss to book in. Helpful in serving breakfast promptly and providing speedy checkout.
No shower only a bath Lack of car park, but after 8pm free in adjacent Tesco
The room was clean and the bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in....the staf were welcoming and very friendly.
Ideal for Bath or Bristol food great staff welcoming
Very cosy bar "sink-into"setees. Old world atmoshere of dining room for the evening meal.
It has a rather tight entry off main road for cars and parking also tight , though adequate.
Breakfast was good
Room slightly musty smelling
Beautiful old house, food was very good.
Felt understaffed, always seemed to be waiting either at bar or at breakfast for someone to come and serve me. Beautiful hotel situated in a very average and limited town,,. But close to better nicer places like Bath,.
Good location for Mendips bike ride, very quiet room, high quality bed linen and towells....very nice staff.
Old world charm,nice people
Smelly bathrooms,damp and age
The location was good and has parking. Next to a Tesco. The bed was very comfortable. Staffs were very friendly.
bathroom drain makes noise for a longer period. but it didn't bother us that much and we knew when making the booking that it would be electric and might not be exactly the same as normal bathroom.
Comfy beds, good linen and clean although old.
Road noise - had to close window and that made the room hot and stuffy as there was no AC. Service at breakfast was slow.
Hotel full of character Very friendly and helpful staff Fantastic tower suite room Lovely breakfast
Location, it is so handy for trains to Bath. Breakfast is superb and nothing too much trouble.
Lovely hotel really enjoyed our stay. Staff were very friendly and the room had everything we needed. Plus Breakfast was very good indeed.
Beautiful furnishings clean,
Reception staff cold and standoffish
The Old Manor House was a respite from the saminess of chain hotels. The building had history, the room was comfortable and well furnished and quite well sound-proofed from the road outside (my room faced the road). Very friendly staff. Well-cooked food.
Restaurant a little expensive.
everything - i liked everything - from the Staff - the menu choice - the food and the regular visitors - it was like being in my local. Excellent.
