The friendliness and helpfulness of the management and staff. The room and the best English breakfast ever.
The only thing which prevented an outstanding full set was the shower which was intermittent at busy times, thus inconvenient.
The breakfast content was very good. The quality of the breakfast was very good.
Unpleasant rush all the time: we've been chased by knocking the door to have our breakfast (we've been just 2 mins late) & afterwards we ve been asked to leave the breakfast room in 30 mins, while we've been still having our breakfast. Bed was very uncomfortable. Room was over clattered with stuff (and that's why you don't see this room on display at Booking.com web-site): old books, strange items and very inconvenient wardrobe. Poor water pressure: it will be a problem for the ladies with long hair.
Very helpful and friendly staff, beautiful rooms, very comfortable bed, superb breakfast, peaceful setting. Altogether a wonderful place to stay and explore the area.
Both the location and room were outstanding. The breakfast was exceptionally good and nothing was not thought about. I would not hesitate to recommend the Old Rectory to anyone wishing to visit the area.
There was nothing to criticise.
Extremely warm welcome. Fantastic and generously sized vegetarian cooked breakfast. Extremely comfortable room. Fantastic value for money.
Not a problem for us, but the bed was extremely soft! Also, the nature of the area means that you're reliant on your car to get anywhere, but this shouldn't be news to anyone planning to visit the area.
Welcoming owners of the B&B and the hygiene of the place was second to none. The facilities and choice of good was again excellent.
Breakfast is served at 8am which in a lot of cases is too late to get to work location for 8:30 and I felt pressured into having something smaller rather than a cooked breakfast at 07:30 as I had to be away on the road for 8am.
Lovely room with wonderful double spa bath, my comments below are not meant as a negative however we stay away frequently and where necessary will share constructive feedback. I would visit again But in a different room for the reasons below
Close to reception and next to breakfast room which meant was woken early. As near front door could hear all conversations and people in and out. Would have preferred to be told this on bookins as would have chosen different room. Some things were a little tired and in need of modernising. Condiment stands in Dining room on each table were to big and unnecessary which dated the room. Cleaning materials on chair In Dining room not needed.
The Old Rectory is a lovely place to stay and close to Ironbridge (which was the reason for our visit) It was very clean and comfortable, a magnificent breakfast served quickly by pleasant staff.
UHT milk on the welcome tray - there is a better alternative. A clock would have been helpful.
We were given a questionnaire to fill out it really wasn't needed because the old Rectory is faultless
room was very good would come back again
no bar or somewhere to relax out with your room
Me and my partner loved the spa bath, the comfort of the bed and how everything made us so relaxed. Definately worth the money and the food was of high quality standards. Very friendly, well communicated owners :).
Not a bad word to say. Everything was spectacular
the room was extremely well appointed with everything you could need. Proprietor went to the trouble of getting gluten free food so the breakfast was superb!
We enjoyed the whole ambiance of the place and the service was excellent. Good value in lovely surroundings. Nothing was a bother.
Peaceful location near lots of interesting things to do. Loved the four poster bed. Great breakfast!
Poor water pressure led to a disappointing shower though not the fault of the B&B.
Luxurious Experience with all needs catered for. Nothing too much trouble for David, Sylvia, Sarah and Sam. Thanks for their wonderful care and attention. A special mention for the stupendous mouth watering breakfast. Best B & B we have ever stayed in. Hope to visit again.
The whole experience was 1st class. David & his staff certainly are the best.
As we walked through the door we were impressed with the opulence The member of staff who greeted us was extremely helpful and friendly. Room impressive, bed lovely and comfortable. Everthing you could think of was there. The breakfast room was stunning with a huge basket of fruits, cereals, jams, yoghurts and juices. The breakfast was so huge we could not eat again until 4.00 that day. David the owner said he would not make it so large for the next day, but the breakfast still kept us going for several hours. If you like comfort combined with style this is the place for you. We will definitely return next year and have decided which room we would like. The white room with the fab bathroom in black and white. Staff are very helpful nothing was too much trouble.
There were no downwsides for us. The break was great value for money. The only disadvantage could possibly be that you would need to use your car to go out for an evening meal, although this was not a problem for us.
Great B&B in a fab location. Loved all the little touches and the staff were really friendly. I would recommend to family and friends.
Friendly, helpful staff; very comfortable room.
Tastefully thought out individual boutique bedrooms. A breakfast an army could march on!
Lovely comfortable, beautiful clean room. Plenty of products to choose on the tea & coffee making tray as well as items in the bathroom cabinet. Even a bar of chocolate to send us on our way at the end of our stay! Breakfast was beautifully presented & with a great choice.
Not a criticism, just an observation - the fully English breakfast was hugh! Any guest would struggle to finish such a lovely meal.
The bedding and towels were so lovely,so fresh. The proprietor was very pleasant and helpful, and what a chef !! Excellent value for money. Will definitely stop here again.
Absolutely nothing !
Breakfast, it's huge and freshly cooked. I would suggest they make it more of a feature, perhaps having two options, one being normal, two rashers of bacon, one egg etc, and the other being the big breakfast.
The very personal service
We felt that the bedroom décor was very nice but verging on the fussy: probably appeals especially to Americans with a 'twee' view of England!
So de lightly quiet and peaceful
