The hotel is well placed for access to Warwick (10 mins) and Stratford on Avon (15-20 mins) and both have a wealth of historic buildings and exhibits plus entertainments like the RSC theatre and a good number of pubs and restuarants. This is an old rectory (the clue is in the name) - so missing the bath from my ensuite shower room is a given. If you must have an ensuite bathroom there's a travelodge motel down the road - stay there instead. If you want to stay in a 300 year old property but in relative (21st century ) comfort - stay at the Old Rectory. It has much of the original features of the building intact and a very homely feel to it.

Welcoming and friendly hosts.Surprisingly quiet despite being situated close to M40. Tasteful decor and furnishing. Warm and comfortable. Adjusted breakfast content to suit our personal preferences. Voluntarily booked our dinner reservation. Without satnav would be difficult to find from J15 of M40.

More a B&B than a hotel, but relaxed atmosphere. Liked the honesty note for the drinks in the lounge, as no bar as such. Used it as a one night stopover, prior to a day in Stratford, which is close by.

Bedrooms were fitted out to a high standard, with very good decor. Beds were comfortable and excellent breakfast. I asked specifically for twin beds. There aren't any there. I did not know until I arrived. Fortunately we had a large 4-poster which was very comfortable.

We chose this hotel over others for its proximity to Stratford on Avon (it couldn't have been easier), its character and intimacy. There are 4-poster beds and a Shakespearean theme in most rooms which was perfect as we were going to see the RSC. We were greeted and taken care of as if we were family; the breakfasts were beautifully prepared and cooked for us and it had the "personal touch" with fresh flowers in the room. There was even an honesty bar for evening drinks and a real fire in the cosy sitting room. Our room was smaller than I had thought from the photographs but it was beautiful. The power shower was less powerful than we are accustomed to and if anything could have been improved, it would have been that.

The Old Rectory was a delight. My room was wonderful, comfy four poster bed, and the staff and owners were very friendly and couldnt do enough for me. I would highly recommend it for a stay if you are visiting the Warwick area.

Friendly and helpful owners. Homely atmosphere. Very good cooked breakfast at the weekend. The room didn't quite live up to the description online and we couldn't describe the shower as "luxury" - quite adequate but not luxury! It was quite difficult to find in the dark.

The main building was very pretty, parking facilities were excellent and the owners were very friendly. Wifi was none existent in our room, despite being advertised as having Wifi. Didn't like the fact that we couldn't eat or drink our own food/drinks in the room despite there being no immediate facility for us to buy food/drink. Room was very cold and very cramped.

Beautiful place, full of character throughout. The honesty bar was a nice touch and appreciated whilst waiting for a taxi! Lovely breakfast and the owners are very friendly and welcoming. Only minor point was that you do need to taxi it or drive in to town, it's not walkable but that's compensated by the fact that it's a more rural, peaceful location.

The owners were very friendly and the breakfast was excellent. It was lovely clean and we were left to enjoy a peaceful night. I wouldn't have called it a hotel as the owners lived in the house and there was not restaurant offering evening meals or lunches. It was more of a b&b and so it seemed a little expensive.

A wonderful change from the usual standard hotels. We stayed in the Stratford suite, lots of room, an ensuite shower and toilet and a four poster bed. We stayed at the weekend so had the benefit of a huge cooked breakfast. Chris and Christine could not have beeen friendlier.
