Good hotel for that price. Rooms are clean, excellent breakfast, helpful staff.
The main adverse is location. But tram station is 5 minutes walk. Sound from other room was heard.
Lovely room lovely view and great breakfast
Drinks too expensive Wi fi not very successful
As always all staff excellent, nothing too much trouble, and as a bonus had complimentary tickets to watch some cricket.
Really enjoyed our stay here. We were visiting due to having stadium tickets for man u. Great location and was in walking distance to a few amenities.
Great location, with a fantastic view of the cricket ground and a nice size balcony. Very quite, which ensured a good nights sleep.
No restaurant facilities in the evening.
Friendliness and helpfulness of staff General welcoming atmosphere
Staff were excellent.
Beds in twin were uncomfortable. Shower fault reported at signing out, no apology offered.
Location to Old Trafford, our main reason for visiting.
Nobody told us about rooms on the cricket stadium side which we would have chosen if we'd known.
Poor quality throughout
Facilities for watching some cricket were excellent. The staff are the best feature of this hotel. They really make you feel at home.
Easy to find from M60. Friendly, knowledgeable staff - nothing was too much trouble. Clean and well maintained room. Excellent view of cricket pitch - thoroughly enjoyed watching Lancashire from the comfort of our room balcony - we were also given free tickets to go into the cricket ground on the nights we were staying. Very quiet at night. Plentiful, good quality continental breakfast.
There was nothing not to like.
Friendly staff. Near to Old Trafford.
Poor Wi-Fi signal Poor breakfast Not enough place for the customers for have a seat at breakfast
Half a mile from the ground, brilliant atmosphere walking there. Many choices of food located nearby. BRILLIANT!
The location, the staff and the Thwaites beer and Amstel lager on tap. The breakfast was also good and fresh.
There was no fridge in the room. I would use the cupboard that had the tea making gear in as a fridge.
The outlook over the cricket ground. Superb by day and night. We will stay again for future Test Matches.
The poor parking arrangements. As my wife has problems walking I had to dropped my wife outside the main gates and then to take the car to a car park off Great Stone Road. Only with the help of the security staff at the car park and ground was the possible, otherwise my wife would not have been able to get to the Lodge. There should be disabled parking near the Lodge. The Bruntwood Car Park should have been open, along with B14 gate for the evening, which would have solved all the problems. I am aware it was a Test Match, but that was the reason we, and many others were there.
balcony giving view of cricket ground. free parking.
needs serious facelift; painting, tiling, carpet cleaning, etc. double bed hardly big enough for myself and nineteen years old son.
Good value for money balcony a nice feature weather good so nice to sit on and look over cricket ground. Comfortable stay.
Really liked the balcony rooms overlooking the cricket pitch. Have stayed here before and had a pleasant stay both times. Will definitely return.
Location Staff Breakfast
At first was hard to find car park due to test match starting soon
Rooms with a balcony are excellent especially whilst cricket is on, view of pitch was perfect and was lovely to sit out the next morning with a cuppa, me and my husband thoroughly enjoyed are stay
Breakfast was lovely, but would be nice if a full English could be available, also if they served food in the evening that would be good. But none of the above takes away from what an excellent stay we had
Staff were all very helpful, especially front of house. Fantastic view of cricket ground from room and great to have balcony view of cricket!
Bar snacks were limited. Some other hotel guests were v noisy and drunk in the night and kept us awake for a long while.
As a bonus we got to watch a cricket match
location staff and their approachability breakfast rooms
Got a really good last minute deal so good price.
Breakfast was very poor, if I has paid full price I wouldn't have been very happy at all. Tv didn't work initially we had to retune it 4 times for it to work.
