The bar prices
The room for a young family was a ten minute walk....,way too far away from reception and the pool.
Wi-Fi, complementary upgrade.
Breakfast range quickly depleted and some too long on the hot plate. Hotel a bit of a rabbit warren.
Breafast, lounge, staff
Heat in rooms. Need sir conditioning
The room that we stayed in was lovely, very spacious!! The facilities at the hotel were also excellent. The dinner and breakfast at the hotel was second to none. There was a great variety to choose from and the staff were very accommodating. Would definitely stay there again.
it was comfortable like every large chain hotel
Lacked individuality and the food was obviously mass produced and reheated
We hired a car for a week and used the hotel as our base to tour Oxfordshire and beyond. Breakfast was very good but the restaurant was only average, but there is great pub next door called "The 3 Pigeons" which serves the most amazing food .
Superior room was fantastic, ground coffee in the room was a nice touch. All staff were excellent and went the extra mile.
Limited menu choice in resteraunt.
Staff were fantastic. Nothing too much trouble. Great stay...
Excellent friendly staff and very good food.
The shower was a bit weak.
Personel, location, room with good beds, breakfast with variety of food.
A bit booring and lot of old people.
Large comfy room Location
Small pool, limited facilities Average food
Lovely staff, very competent and relaxed which made for a relaxing atmosphere. A fan in the room helped on a hot stuffy night.
Hotel was fully booked and everyone was up at the same time for breakfast, which meant the toilet system struggled to flush....
Lovely clean friendly hotel. Staff couldn't do enough to help. Food was amazing, best food we have had at a Q Hotel stay so far. Amazing hotels
Distance we had to walk to our room with a baby!! We were on top floor and it was so hot, had windows open and fan on but still so so hot up there. Other than that, everything was perfect, well done
We stayed one night to attend a nearby function and the hotel was exactly what was expected and required. Comfortable, quiet, clean, and with a very generous breakfast in the price. Plenty of space in the car park (admittedly, a weekend). All in all, more or less perfect.
Large room,good bed
Food & drink expensive
The friendly helpful staff, our superior room was extremely comfortable and spacious. The meals were of a good standard, in particular the breakfast. The location is well placed. In short a good stay.
The shower in the attractive ensuite was a let down. A dribble is not what you expect of a supposed 4* hotel. The only disadvantage of location is being unable to walk anywhere in the evenings. The proximity to the M40 and the lack of grounds, which in one way is an advantage, precludes any evening entertainment without entering the drink/drive difficulty. To be fair we knew this on booking and for a two night stay was not considered a major problem.
the staff were really helpful - particular thanks to Jackie in housekeeping for returning items that my husband left in the hotel room by accident. The gym and spa were good.
We had booked a twin room for my mother in law and young son. The man at reception didn't offer any solution. My mother in law said that she would make do (which I didn't agree with) but the receptionist seemed to take this as though it was all fine - It wasn't - my son slept on the floor! Otherwise the staff were great and the rooms were nice and clean.
swimming pool Breakfast scenery
bar food cleanliness
My Partner has Gluten & Dairy allergies and the staff were brilliant to ensure that the meals were correct
Nice hotel, big rooms and very nice garden rear.
Staff do not answer telephone for room service or if you call reception to book a minicab. Walked to reception to order/book both. They then forgot to order the minicab and I was late for my friends wedding reception. The minicab company they use was awful and overcharged me coming back to the hotel.
Service. Staff polite but not managed with care.
Good English breakfast.
Tired room. No mini bar. Over priced bar margins. Poor pool. Certainly not worth £101 per night.
Hotel looks tired and in need of refurbishment. Also disappointed with the cleanliness of the hotel. I went into the toilets in the reception area at 9am and there were 3 toilets and no toilet paper in any of them, soap dispenser was also empty! It didn't stop there - I could go on but won't. This didn't seem like a 4 star hotel to me!
