We were going to the opera at Garssington and the Belfry turned out to be the perfect base. The staff were helpful, the ground floor room was very nicely appointed with access to a lovely courtyard. Access to the pool and sauna was also a big plus as we were able to relax and unwind there before changing and heading to a very pleasant evening at the opera which was a 10-15 minute drive. |

I liked the peace and quiet - no noisy guests or loud TVs to disturb us. Also, liked being on the ground floor - much cooler than upstairs rooms. I didn't like the pillows - far too hard and rather small. The bed was not that comfortable either. |

The staff were most helpful. On arrival the staff obviously have been taught their lines and they are very mechanical in their delivery. I was told they learn the lines but they deliver them like a teleprinter. It was like a holiday camp with screaming children everywhere and disco music. Had known this I would have made alternative arrangements |

The hotel staff were very kind. Also we were impressed that they gave us a double room although they said only twin room was available when I called the hotel to ask as it wasn't clear on the website whether we can get a double room or not. |

I was able to relax I ordered a pizza snack at the bar for my friend and I. It cost £13-95 when it arrived it was like 6" in diameter and had 6 small pieces of topping on it I am sure you can buy them out of the supermarket in packs of 4 for about a pound. I was not impressed |

Lovely pool and gym, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the food in the restaurant was good. We were giving a disabled room and it would have been nice if we were advised of this on checking in and we were unable to move as the hotel was full. It was ok but the drainage on the walk in shower wasn't very good. Not the hotels fault but the water quality was very poor so the tap water tasted of chlorine, probably could do with installing a water filter as even the tea tasted of chlorine. |

Location was excellent for acess to the M40 & Oxford city centre. Liked the ambience of the hotel especially the centre courtyard garden area. Exorbitant drink prices from the residents bar. |

A lovely room, great value for money. Very helpful staff. Loved the courtyard although. Perfect breakfast although shame it was in a room with no windows as it was a beautiful morning. Loved the courtyard although the chairs were uncomfortable and they would be the only thing I would change. Move the breakfast to the adjacent room with windows |

The gardens were well maintained and very pleasant. The swimming pool was well-received by the teenagers. The rooms were reasonable comfortable and there was a good choice at breakfast The public spaces were dark and univiting. The style was provincial and uninspired. The staff had difficulty linking our two rooms (my husband and me and our two teenagers) because my husband and I have different names, despite the booking being made at one time. There was a long wait to pay when we left |
