the Palace is located right on the main street overlooking the bay an the Islands. The lady who runs it is gracious, friendly and helpful. If you need help with your bags, ask when you book. The Palace is a charming old hotel. Each floor is tiny but it´s five stories high, with a breakfast room overlooking the water.

Breakfast price a bit steep and not included with the room

Great location right on the main street with good views across the bay area, Staff are friendly and helpful and nothing is to much bother. Very good cooked breakfast in the morning.

There is no lift so the stairs can be a climb.could do with a little decorating on the main entrance.

    - very friendly staff - great location, just a couple blocks away from the Oban Whiskey Distillery (definitely worth a visit) - spacious room - comfortable bed

    - no free parking - internet did not work well in the room; we were told it would work in the public areas but did not try so I cannot comment on that

Staff were nice. And the location in Oban is good. That's about it.

A bit noisy. No working wi-fi despite four routers! Outdated decor. Long walk up five flights with a 50 lb. suitcase and 20 lb. backpack with no offer of help to take it up. Cozy means small, so if you get a cozy room, it means a small [quite small] room. Price was high and no breakfast as part of the deal. Will not stay there again.

Excellent views of the bay Convenient to Oban town harbour and facilities Some old word charm as reflected in the town of Oban

Many flights of stairs to the bedroom breakfast times of 8.00 - 9.00am are too ridged- to suit staff not guests. Most places have 8.00am - 10.00am

The location was good, near railway station and ferry. The bedroom was newly refurbished with comfortable bed and new ensuite. The staff were welcoming and helpful.

The building is dire, with steep stairs, no lift, appalling decor, dirty windows and broken window frames. The breakfast was tasteless and expensive. Scrambled egg was diluted and everything cooked in cheap lard. Something was wrong with cold water supply in the bedroom tap: bitty residue and slimy drip hanging from the tap.

Comfortable bed. Provision of e.g. hairdryer.

Many stairs. Separate (and expensive) breakfast. I could not get the TV to work.

The view of the port from the top floor window, the huge staircase.

The weird policies such as a fine of at least £40 if you bring food and drinks in the room??? Fridge in the room to store food from the hotel???? Water was a bit tricky to set for shower, hotel needs a bit of TLC in general.

Views from the room were superb. Good central location.

Decor very tired & dated. The room wasn't serviced either during our stay - even B&Bs do that so thought that was sloppy.
