The room was clean and well equipped with tea/coffee making facilities, iron etc. Separate from the pub with garden outside the door, so nice ambience. Good food to be had in the pub. Friendly staff. Good location for cities and places of interest in the area. On a busy road so a bit noisy, but not enough to put us off staying there again. |

The owners and staff at the hotel made you feel very welcome and were informative about the area. The room had everything you needed and was very cosy, clean and comfortable. The food was a to a very high standard and I liked that you had a choice of eating indoors or outside. The Inn itself was interesting because of the history and well located. |

Rooms were great for the price, but the food in the Inn was the best we had in England. Would stay there just for the food and ale! |

A pleasant garden, nice staff, cheap, clean and cheerful rooms. Room door does not close unless the key is used to lock it. Saturday evening meal service was a bit understaffed for the crowd. |

The Pelican Inn has wonderful ambiance - we had absolutely no complaints about our stay. The staff was great, the establishment was kept extremely well, (preservation considering it was an old coach house and cleanliness wise) and the food was outstanding! (And that includes the appetizers, the entrees, the drinks and the desserts, and the breakfasts we had while there) The only very minor problem we had was with the amount of toilet paper we were provided with in our room - we had very little left on the roll and there wasn't any more at all in the room (why wouldn't there be an extra roll(s) in our bathroom?) While we had to scrounge around in the middle of the night, it was not anything dear enough to give us any reason to think we did not like our stay at The Pelican Inn. |

The hotel had a very relaxed atmosphere and the food was excellent. The location of the hotel is ideal as a central point for working in the area. |

We loved our stay here, food, rooms and ambience were fantastic. Vince and Hayley and there staff have made this somewhere you cant help but want to revisit. They had an 80th birthday party on the night but the service from the staff was second to none and we never felt left out or forgotten. |
