Friendly staff

Bathroom dirty. No temp control on shower - just hot! No shelf in bathroom or shelf in shower Taps decaying No hangers for trousers in wardrobe Noisy No soap on second night - never any toiletries such as shower gel shampoo etc I never expected the Ritz for the price paid but this was very basic

The staff were excellent and the food was also excellent.

The bed wasn't that comfortable.

The staff was very frendly and the room was excellent, the ensuite was cold and the shower was not very good, no water pressure, the meal and hospitality was good, and I would stay there again

The shower was not very good in respect there was no pressure and it was a bit cramped, the tv did not have many chanels to look at.in fact there was only 4 channels

Homely atmosphere and a lovely Carol Service on Tuesday 13th December 2011. Comfortable room and a very good meal on Tuesday evening.

The television only had three working channels and the picture was poor on bbc 1. We have stayed before and have encountered the same problem. The shower control was broken so I was unable to have a shower.

I found the staff exceedingly friendly. The food was delicious. We ordered steaks and they were cooked to order and in very good time. The price of the meals was good as well. The Inn offered a very nice smoking area with touch-button heat lamps which made our breath of fresh air very nice. The room was nice and spacious. We retired to our room after dinner and a few hours later we were rather peckish and so I went to the bar and asked if I could order desserts and if they could be delivered to our rooms - which the staff happily obliged. Room service twenty minutes later - excellent!

We ordered two desserts and the bread and butter pudding was just okay - could have used some raisins - only two were found. The 'bedroom' was spotless. However, the bathroom was not completely clean. The shower had dirt on the floor and the toilet looked like it had just a rudimentary clean - it wasn't spotless.

Great location, great value, great staff Had a fantastic time exploring that area of the country using the Pelican as a base. Would recommend the Pelican to friends.

Toured Stonehenge earlier in the day after renting a car at Gatwick. My first visit to England, and to be able to stay in a quiet English Country Pub with rooms to let was the best introduction I could ask for. Locals chatted up up, the banter of the bartended with the regulars, and the great meals are added to the charm

Had some difficulty finding the place. Our gps helped.

Good food good value

It was located in the direction I wanted to the day after. But nice to know Salisbury and Stonehenge are close by. Spacious room. It's at a pub where you might get dinner as well (didn't make use of it).

The room definitely need an update. Two rooms are close to the outside terrace. If you would like to sleep early you might hear people who're still sitting outside. Is close to the road as well but I didn't mentioned the traffic at all late in the evening or during the night. Parking lot can be bigger if you're arriving during supper time.

We were well received. The staff were very courteous and the food was very nice. We enjoyed our stay and will recommend the Pelican inn to our friends. Thank you for makink our visit a memorable one. Kind regards. Tony & Anne Jeffs

Nice comfy room.Staff very welcoming and attentive.We ate at in Pelican restaurant and had a very good meal.Overall a good hotel with excellent staff.
