Location was ideal for pier
Nightclub on pier open from 11.00pm until 3.00 am
Staff Room View Breakfast
Very impressed with the staff there. Found them very friendly and efficient. Good stay all round. I'd go again!
Just a shame the taps for the beer were not working. So only a small choice of drinks at the bar.
Location great, immediately opposite the pier! View from room was amazing! Room basic but adequate for our one stay. Man on reception was extremely nice, interested on the purpose of our stay (uni open day) and very helpful. Breakfast was good, lots of choice and friendly staff
Parking bit of a nightmare, drove around for about 30 mins finally found a space which was a 2 hr limit ( not ideal after a 5 hr drive in torrential rain!) Made way to hotel to check in and drop bags off in room and was offered a parking permit for £1. This allowed us to stay in space until following day. It would have been helpful to know this beforehand. Water from shower cold and didn't heat up!
The hotel is very central. Very convenient to town centre and over looking the Pier. Great location. Staff very friendly and helpful. Couldn't complain abt breakfast either price very reasonable
Decor could be doing with up dating but wouldn't put me off staying again
the location and staff were good
the decor was very tired and the choices in the bar were poor and prices too high
Excellent location in front of Eastbourne Pier, kind and helpful stuff, delicious breakfast
Good location, comfortable beds very helpful staff, nice breakfast very good value for money. If you like a good sea view then look no further this is the perfect spot. It is close to the seafront, within a five to ten minute walk of restuarants and theatres.
Parking can be a problem as you are on the seafront, although we parked close by in the back roads. We noticed some cars had got special parking tickets to place on their cars which allowed them to park, very handy as we were only staying one night we never made any enquires about those tickets and how to purchase them but they could be very useful we guessed they maybe purchased at hotels but not sure?
Have stayed before and hasn't a lovely sea view for the same amount of money.
Location of the room looking out the window at a brick wall.room very cramped.
Professional yet friendly staff more than willing to help meet the needs of their guests.
WiFi was inconsistent.
No proper parking.
Hotel is very clean and pleasant. Strange decor choices but that did not affect our stay at all. Good value for money
The location and angle of the hotel were excellent as from our window we could see along the Promenade and we were opposite the famous Pier. The Breakfast was very good , the room well appointed and very clean. The atmosphere in the public rooms was a bit old fashioned, which was in keeping with the wonderfully well preserved Victorian streets cape and its marvellous white hotels.
We only stayed one night. The atmosphere was relaxed, the staff were helpful and the breakfast was excellent. Good value for money.
We booked in early afternoon and when we went back with our bags after having lunch in the town, the reception staff on duty at the time denied we had booked in or paid the agreed price earlier. This was annoying but soon sorted out. The decor is tired and needs refreshing.
Great value, clean comfortable room, friendly staff and an excellent breakfast
Friendly, pleasant staff, breakfast served hot and quickly. Staff were knowledgeable regarding local area.
The decor. Needs to be updated.
Lovely position, great staff,
Noisy people next door
Lovely old styled hotel. Very tasty food and friendly staff.
We had a problem with hot water.
cleanliness of room/the staff
breakfast not as good as the range of the hotel
Good location, friendly staff, clean room, nice breakfast. Had a nice quiet room on top floor, double windows so nice and light.
Shower was temperamental and shower bracket broken. Quite old fashioned. Due to it's age, floors were lopsided in places!
The choice of food at breakfast, there was a lack of fruit & no choice of yogurt. The mattress had a duvet underneath the bottom sheet & we put another one on top of that to make the bed more comfortable. The duvets were very old & in need of replacing.
We liked the location which was near the sea and the shops. The bus stops were right opposite the hotel or on the same side so no need to use the car. The breakfasts were good and the staff very helpful.
The single room was too small for a mature person (although offered a larger room without sea view). Lack of any chairs in rooms. Would have liked the restaurant to have been open in the evening.
Lokation is very good
TV only 1program
Very clean and reasonable price for a 2 night stay. Would come again.
Needs to be redecorated as wall paper all ripped on the walls in the room, also needs more comfortable mattress as not a good night sleep.
early close reception
