Hotel was clean, staff friendly. Ideal location.

It was situated on the sea front. The breakfast was lovely. Staff helpful. Coffee and tea facilities were much appreciated.

Paying for parking outside hotel. No phone to contact reception. Beds were not comfort mattresses, pillows not plump enough.

Bed was a bit worn out, too warm with windows closed, too noisy with windows open (overlies a busy street)

Great value for money,great location.when we had an issue staff dealt with it straight away. I had a request to book a room with a bath and it was sorted before our arrival.loved the flat screen tv. Overall we were satisfied and would return again.

Rooms need attention...weather was great but too hot, no air con and had great difficulty opening the windows as they had an extra glazing installed...dont recommend seaview rooms when hot....shower head needed descaling, hot tab knob kept falling off...needs little tlc

Could feel so many springs in Mattress, made it very uncomfortable. It was extremely cold with no heater.

Location near to beach

Filthy room - too dirty to stay in. Disputed this with manager on phone (he refused to come to see the room with us). A truly dreadful hotel.

Room size, staff polite and helpful overall we enjoyed our stay food was ok but we will not stay here again.

Shower did not work properly the water was gushing out of the shower hose all over the floor so was reduced to baths. Inside the drawers were dirty needed a good hoover so we could not use them . wall near kettle was absolutely filthy with dust and there was a line of dust all way down in the corner near kettle. Do not like the fact that clean towels and bedding is put on the floor outside the room not very hygenic as visitors walking on same floor with outdoor shoes on. We did not get clean fresh towels for the next day although we had left them on the bath and one of them we had mopped the floor with from leaky shower. Your cleaning staff needs more/better training. Egg was undercooked and the white of the egg was still raw(runny). No parking permit offered which other hotels give.

the hotel was old and needed updating, the bathroom door would not shut and the bathroom needed a clean. the room was not comfortable and the sash window dangerous. breakfast was disappointing and the staff not particularly helpful

I liked that a change of room was possible since 1st room was full of dust, carpet stains,dirty windows, basin taps producing slow limited amount of water,and the sea view -which I booked- started at chest level. Top floor is useless for a sea view, although technically there is one. It was good to be allowed to check in 2 hours early. I liked that the hotel was quiet. I liked that staff were friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the complimentary room biscuits & the full breakfast. The location is brilliant.

Didn't like being given what must be one of the worst rooms when hotel seemed to be poorly occupied. It would be better to have given the better room on arrival, as no one wants to complain as soon as they arrive. I didn't like that all of the windows were dirty, with poor wood maintenance. Layers of dust on lampshades, curtains & bed frame. Windows couldn't be left opened due to traffic noise. Felt hotel could easily sparkle if given a bit more love and overall areas cleaning.

There were 3 marks and 1 mark on 2 walls which could have been dealt with. Also the opening of the shower door was next to the sink in the bath room making it difficult to get into the shower and also the water was ankle deep whilst taking a shower and a plunger should be used to clear the drain of the shower to ease water drainage.

Coming back after night out with my children to the smell of cannabis in the hall ways of the second floor

Staff were friendly & very accommodating, always willing to help. Lovely breakfast, fruit juice, coffee, cereal, cooked breakfast & toast. Room was clean, nice fresh white bedding. Hotel was excellent value in prime location.

Furniture & carpets were old & did not match (but were fit for purpose).

Beautiful sea view from the room! Good breakfast, friendly staff. Close to the city center and railway. Old fashioned charm. Modern TV.

The bar below is certainly disturbing when summer and warm weather. Front door wide open even when no staff present, did not feel safe.

The hotel was situated right on the beach opposite the pier. It was clean and comfortable in the public areas and the bar was reasobnably priced. Staff were helpful to a point.

Descibed as a boutique hotel! It was very tired and run down. The floors and ceiling squeeked incessantly and late at night meant it impossible to sleep with people moving about in the rooms above and in the corridors. Breakfast was poor with the smallest portions I have ever had. Service was dire and slow with very little choice. The floors were very uneven and the furniture and decor in the room was tired, old and faded. the window didn't close properly either. I'd rate this a 5 out of 10. Avoid if possible

Staff very friendly and helpful. Pretty good breakfast.

Shabby and poorly maintained E.g Tv didnt work, cups in room but no saucers and tap handle fell off.

Near to where we needed to be

Lift out of order for over 2 weeks. Partner on crutches so was difficult to climb stairs. Given breakfast time 7.30-9.00. waited saturday morning for hour only to be told saturday was 8.30 start. Notice board

Lovely room with sea view Comfortable bed Nice breakfast. Very helpful man on reception gave extra pillow when asked also extra milk.

The service was okay and the receptionist was very friendly. It was a flying visit so a bit difficult to judge.

As it was a business trip, the following was a problem for me. As it was a business trip the following things were a problem for me. 1. Internet connection was a problem, ie none in my room. 2. The broken stool that I sat on in my room 3.Breakfast was served late for us at 7.30am. It meant a late start for us that day.

Location and close to resturants

Decor ( wallpaper hanging off) and cracks in the plaster on walls and ceiling. Hotel very dated. T.V.not working in room. Lifts not working. Blind in bathroom was damaged and filthy.
