Excellent welcome, quality fixtures and fittings, satisfying breakfast, luxury bathroom, a well appointed room, excellent bed, good shower, beautiful grounds
on a personal note, we do not particularly like 4 poster beds or the old cast iron baths.
Nothing to cimplain it was reallt awesome, lowely, encouraged owners great breakfast room and just a perfe
The Pines is off the beaten track ,so if you are looking for a quiet break this is for you .The new owners are very welcoming -it is a home from home.Good breakfasts, new en suite facilities and comfy beds-all in all an excellent B&B.
Helpful, friendly and welcoming, lovely accommodation, beautiful setting and views, great breakfasts, easy parking. Very glad we came here for our 3 night break.
Friendly staff. Very welcoming with tea and cakes.
Only had a shower in bathroom - would have liked a bath.
Very friendly hosts at totally renovated property. Good location convenient for beach & coast path walks and for RHS Rosemoor garden & several RHS recommended gardens. Excellent breakfasts.
Warm welcome, lovley surrounding, lovley clean newly decorated rooms, excellent breakfast choice and use of lounge and honesty bar.
Welcomed with a pot of tea, fresh cake and friendly owners. Beautifully renovated with attention to detail Excellent fresh breakfast. REAL muesli and freshly made fruit compote. Freshly baked bread. Yummy!
I have absolutely no criticisms of this accomodation. It was perfect
Nice welcome on arrival with coffee and homemade apple cake. Fruit and compot picked fresh from the garden every morning. Fresh home cooked bread. Great breakfast using locally produced products. Local knowledge and advice on local eateries and attractions. The fantastic bathroom and roll top bath in the superior room. Chris and Carol are great hosts
Nothing to dislike about The Pines
Chris and Carol genuinely want their guests to enjoy their visit and know how to ensure this will happen. A first class service in all the obvious ways is further enhanced by all the little extra touches - a fire lit in the breakfast room on a grey morning, freshly baked bread still warm and crisp, time spent sharing local information on the best places to go. It's a beautiful location and perfectly placed for exploring north Devon, but it's Chris and Carol themselves that make this such a memorable place to stay.
Very friendly proprietors and a great breakfast!
We liked every thing , and Chris and Carol were so helpful to let us know we're to go , and where the good restaurants were......and the Breakfast was all very fresh , with fresh fruit picked every morning ....the room was lovely with a wonderful comfy bed , a must to have .....the whole home was beautiful decorated through out ....all very lovely ....a place to visit if in the area....
There was Nothing I didn't,t like
The Pines at Eastlight was for us a perfect place. We only can swoon with delight and confirm all positiv comments on this site.
Really lovely, clean, modern and comfortable in every way. Excellent. Would definitely use this bed and breakfast again. Beautiful location. We were also made very welcome. Highly recommended.
We were made to feel welcome and valued as guests. Far more comfort in the room than an average B&B and the breakfast could not be improved upon, every taste catered for. Quiet surroundings but close to Devon's beautiful countryside and beaches.
Very welcoming. Lovely home made bread. Clean well decorated catered for gluten free diet. All round lovely
Room 7 Roll top bath 4 poster bed Quality breakfast Spotlessly clean
Even though we arrived at 10 o'clock at night our hosts welcomed us warmly and made us a cup of tea. Our room, and in fact the whole house, was tastefully decorated, and the garden was lovely.Breakfast was cooked to order and nothing was too much trouble. It felt like everything was done thoughtfully and with love. It was a shame we didn't have longer to enjoy our surroundings.
The rooms are extremely comfortable and ours had a lovely view over the countryside. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful with good recommendations of places to eat. The grounds are lovely and you are free to roam, we saw woodpeckers and lots of robins in the orchard. We were greeted on arrival with tea and scones and the breakfasts were delicious.
Prices for drinks were a little steep with a can of cola costing £2. Other than that can't fault it.
location welcome room breakfast
Very welcoming, great attention to detail, lovely food. A very, very pleasant stay and will definitely be going back. Thank you.
We love it there. Chris and Carol are lovely people. Great location, Its clean and comfortable and the breakfast is amazing.
The rooms were spacious, very clean and stylish. The breakfasts were excellent- beautifully cooked and presented and included home-made bread and fruit compote. Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts and they were welcoming, helpful and friendly. The gardens and surrounding area were lovely.
There was nothing to dislike. The hosts made inter-action with other guests very easy.
Great room - felt like a hotel. Excellent breakfast Would recommend it to anyone
