Very friendly and comfortable. If in the area we will always stay at the pines.
The Pines Hotel was really comfortable and our hosts were really helpful and friendly. Extremely clean and fresh. Ideal place to stay for Country walks in the Spring & Summer - close to Bideford and Instow. Breakfast was delightful and substantial very well presented - the fresh homemade bread was delicious.
The warm welcome, with tea and homemade cake. The friendly, enthusiastic owners who really took an interest in you and your needs The views from all round the house and gardens. The breakfast with homemade bread, compote and black pudding! You did not need lunch and finally the weather. Sunshine in November!
The Pines has been beautifully refurbished by the owners, Chris & Carol, who obviously take a lot of pride in their business. The double bedroom we had was large, well equipped and with a very smart shower/wc en suite. Great views too. The breakfast was superb with locally sourced food. Chris and Carole really make you feel welcome and were very helpful. We would definitely recommend The Pines for those looking for a special place to stay.
The bedroom, the bed, the shower, the breakfast, the friendliness of the owners and staff, the location, and the grounds.
No Wi-Fi in the rooms, although it was available in the public roms
Very welcolming and friendly on arrival. Room lovely. Breakfast excellent.
The location - the view - the welcome - comfort - food need I say more.
We were given a very warm welcome on our arrival at The Pines. Carol & Chris were charming hosts & made our stay very comfortable & enjoyable. There were so many things to choose from at breakfast - locally sourced produce - all beautifully cooked & served. We hope to be back.
Excellent hosts, very warm welcome. The breakfast was splendid: fresh fruits, homemade compot and bread... We received a lot of additional information where to go, where the nice places were. We enjoyed our stay and would go back immediately. Recommendation to everybody!
Really a minor minor detail: our navigation didn't find the address. A streetname would have been useful. But as said ... This is splitting hair ;-)
Situated in the small village of Eastleigh the house is an ideal base for exploring the North Devon coast and Exmoor. We felt warmly welcomed by our hosts who made us feel like staying with friends. The room in a nicely transformed cottage was comfortable with state-of-the-art ensuite bathroom. Breakfast was outstanding, cooked to order with locally produced and homemade food. (We should have tried dinner the night before!). The Pines was really worth visiting, next time in Devon we´ll be back.
Friendly owners with good local knowledge and recommendations. Lovely old house with a rural outlook. A great breakfast of local produce and fruit from their orchard.
Excellent welcome, quality fixtures and fittings, satisfying breakfast, luxury bathroom, a well appointed room, excellent bed, good shower, beautiful grounds
on a personal note, we do not particularly like 4 poster beds or the old cast iron baths.
Nothing to cimplain it was reallt awesome, lowely, encouraged owners great breakfast room and just a perfe
The Pines is off the beaten track ,so if you are looking for a quiet break this is for you .The new owners are very welcoming -it is a home from home.Good breakfasts, new en suite facilities and comfy beds-all in all an excellent B&B.
Helpful, friendly and welcoming, lovely accommodation, beautiful setting and views, great breakfasts, easy parking. Very glad we came here for our 3 night break.
Friendly staff. Very welcoming with tea and cakes.
Only had a shower in bathroom - would have liked a bath.
Very friendly hosts at totally renovated property. Good location convenient for beach & coast path walks and for RHS Rosemoor garden & several RHS recommended gardens. Excellent breakfasts.
The owners were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. We were given lots of very helpful information about places to visit. Breakfast was absolutely delicious!
A little difficult to find at first. You need to drive through very narrow lanes to get to the local pub/restaurant.
Warm welcome, lovley surrounding, lovley clean newly decorated rooms, excellent breakfast choice and use of lounge and honesty bar.
Everything the whole set up is excellent.
Welcomed with a pot of tea, fresh cake and friendly owners. Beautifully renovated with attention to detail Excellent fresh breakfast. REAL muesli and freshly made fruit compote. Freshly baked bread. Yummy!
I have absolutely no criticisms of this accomodation. It was perfect
Carol and Chris made us very welcome, greeting us with tea and cake. Excellent breakfast, very clean comfortable. Good information about places to visit in the area.
Nice welcome on arrival with coffee and homemade apple cake. Fruit and compot picked fresh from the garden every morning. Fresh home cooked bread. Great breakfast using locally produced products. Local knowledge and advice on local eateries and attractions. The fantastic bathroom and roll top bath in the superior room. Chris and Carol are great hosts
Nothing to dislike about The Pines
Chris and Carol genuinely want their guests to enjoy their visit and know how to ensure this will happen. A first class service in all the obvious ways is further enhanced by all the little extra touches - a fire lit in the breakfast room on a grey morning, freshly baked bread still warm and crisp, time spent sharing local information on the best places to go. It's a beautiful location and perfectly placed for exploring north Devon, but it's Chris and Carol themselves that make this such a memorable place to stay.
Very friendly proprietors and a great breakfast!
