Set in 7 hilltop acres with views over open countryside, The Pines at Eastleigh is an award-winning Georgian country house bed and breakfast. Guests can enjoy log fires, king-size beds, and freshly prepared food. Breakfast is served in the drawing room with its log fire and beautiful view from Hartland Point to Lundy Island. Food is freshly prepared using home-produced and locally sourced ingredients. Breakfast includes fruit from the garden, home-made yoghurt and prize-winning local meats. Rooms are both in the main house and at ground floor level around the peaceful courtyard garden. They all have an en suite bathroom and tea/coffee making facilities. The ancient port of Bideford, the fishing village of Appledore, and the sweeping beach at Westward Ho are all a 10-minute drive away from The Pines. Guests can relax in the garden room bar, which features its own library with a variety of maps. Staff can help guests organise cycling on the Tarka Trail, cliff walking, surfing, canoeing and other water sports. Friendly advice can also be given on where to eat and drink in the area. Very nice room with an excellent breakfast. Only minor point is that it's a mile or two from anywhere to get an evening meal.

1) The friendly staff. 2) The quality of the bedroom. 3) The breakfast was excellent. The location was further out of Bideford than would have been ideal for me but, of course, others may see this as a benefit. It rather depends on the reason for your visit.

Excellent room and very comfortable bed in a quiet location in Eastleigh. Easy access to Bideford, Instow and Barnstaple. Wifi is restricted to effectively downloading e-mails.

An elegant Georgian country house of good proportions in a quiet but convenient location between Bideford and Barnstaple. Decor and design match the attention of the owners in providing a first class hotel experience. Excellent breakfast, everything either home-made or locally sourced, a large lounge overlooking the gardens, free Wi-Fi, tea and coffee, and a very comfortable bed. The Pines offers the perfect north Devon experience.

Very friendly, chilling and relaxing place to stay within beautiful surroundings. The food was excellent, and I felt I had been there ages even though it was only 1 night.

De plek, het gebouw, de mooie omgeving en het ontbijt. Internet was voor ons niet of nauwelijks beschikbaar en dat was erg lastig. Op de vroege ochtend van ons vertrek deed internet het weer wel, maar ja, toen hoefde het niet meer. De ontvangst van de tv op de kamer was erg slecht. Daardoor was een spannende voetbalwedstrijd moeilijk te volgen. Jammer! Verder werden de gebruikte handdoeken niet dagelijks verschoond en waren er nog wat andere kleinere dingen die niet goed waren. Al met al voor ons niet vatbaar voor herhaling.
