An elegant Georgian country house of good proportions in a quiet but convenient location between Bideford and Barnstaple. Decor and design match the attention of the owners in providing a first class hotel experience. Excellent breakfast, everything either home-made or locally sourced, a large lounge overlooking the gardens, free Wi-Fi, tea and coffee, and a very comfortable bed. The Pines offers the perfect north Devon experience.

Very friendly, chilling and relaxing place to stay within beautiful surroundings. The food was excellent, and I felt I had been there ages even though it was only 1 night.

The gardens were lovely and so was the breakfast. The decor was old fashioned and i stayed in an out building which smelt a little damp and i was awoken by the sound of next door showering.

The ultimate place to relax in an old Georgian house in a perfect setting! Charming room, splendid views, gloriously quiet (if that's what you like) and a most helpful host! A perfect location to explore the North Devon Coast. I wish I lived in the uk - I would visit regularly!

The Pines is hospitality at its very best. Situated in a quiet, idyllic location, it offers an oasis of calm for a business traveller or holiday maker. It has the feel of an old English Country House and the attentiveness of the staff is exemplary and discreet. My room was comfortable and clean. It is a place to come back to.
