Receptionists were friendly and efficient. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Bed was comfortable. Did not like being in the cellar. Apart from being dark and grotty, the area stank of stale cigarette smoke. Lighting in room very poor. Curtains hanging off at one end and did not close properly. No mobile phone signal. |

I was very disappointed with this hotel and had I been able to get another hotel last minute I would have done so. rude staff, very very dirty, had to be moved as first room they gave us was not in hotel but was a flat in a building down the street, no food facilties other than breakfast, we were interrupted twice whilst sleeping with staff coming into our room. |

it was easy to get to from bus and train station and to get to city centre there could have been more staff on at night as you had to leave your key each time you went out and there was only one person on the bar and reception for this, and the bar was busy so the guy was flustered who to serve at bar and recepetion. |

Location and convenience to Murrayfield Stadium where we were attending a concert It was a very busy night for the hotel as the majority of guests staying there had attended the concert at Murrayfield. There was a residents bar which was ideal however the poor concierge night man was the only person working who had to answer the phone, give out room keys AND serve hoards of people at the bar - we all felt soo sorry for him! |

The room and bathroom were both clean. Good continental breakfast (although, as for most hotels, as things ran out they were not replaced) and internet facilities available. The hotel was budget so nothing fancy or outstanding. Entrance ways to the rooms were not well kept and may be an off putting first impression. The bed was not comfortable and people in the hall way could be heard easily from your room. This a good option for a backpackers alternative with private bathroom and other extra facilities (tv, tea/coffee etc). |

The hotel is located within walking distance of the city centre and is easily accessible by public transport, both from City and Airport The hotel was sub-standard for its alleged three star rating. Room very small & dark, cleanliness unsatisfactory (blue-mould on ceilings & walls), beds due urgent replacement. |

The hotel was very close to Edinburgh. The staff were friendly and helpful. The dining area was a little small and sometimes difficult to negotiate in the morning. |

Not much! The hotel was dirty, service was poor, and breakfast was disappointing. Not worth the price. |

It is fairly central; the staff were very helpful when we wanted to change our reservation, getting taxis and helping to return the hired wheel-chair. Room was a bit shabby, not well maintained. Staff did their best to fix problems. Worst was that a very noisy stag party was allowed to sit on the front steps smoking and laughing to after 04.00 which kept us awake all Sunday night. |

The room was new and nicely decorated... a single room was a double bed. On the website it said they accepted credit cards but when we arrived they said no credit cards - cash only. Staff walked into the room without knocking 3 times between 8am and 9:30am while we were in bed. Not impressed. The door was locked, they had to unlock it to come in. |

Very nice and welcoming receptionist . She was helpful with sorting out parking. The price was good. Nice and quiet location, convenient and walking distance to city centre. A bit dilapidated, but for the price you can't expect more I suppose. It served my purpose very well, I but I wasn't there to enjoy myself. |
