Small room. uncomfortable bed, radiator did not turn off . no grout in the tiles in bathroom.very noisey as near the car park.Cleaners came into the room twice by just letting themselves in when I was sleeping.Having stayed in the re furbished side of the hotel before I was very dissapointed with this room.I did ask to be moved but was told no rooms available.

The staff were friendly and approachable and went out of their way to provide good customer service. The availability of a late check out time of 1pm at no extra cost was a good plus point and one that will make me return to the venue. The standard double room was practical but was a bit dated and could do wwith an upgrade.

A pleasant surprise, the bedroom had a bit of character yet was modern and clean. A nice informal and friendly atmosphere. Dinner took a long time to arrive. Continental breakfast could have had more variety, or it could be that it hadn't been replenished. I would have preferred Room Service but not happy to pay a £4 tray charge.

Location The noise from the main road outside oif the window meant I was constantly woken up. There was no Tea or Coffee facilities. The Service in the Restaraunt and Bar was severly hindered as they had a private function and was advised to eat out!

Excellent hotel for the money. The owners have made the best use of the property. Only criticisim is that there did not seem to be anyone in charge of front of house.

The hotel facilities were very good with well appointed bedrooms and an excellent restaurant. The guest lounge was poorly furnished compared to the rest of the hotel and the only bar was a very small 'sports bar'. The car park would be adequate on most occasions but as our stay corresponded with a football match taking place in the nearby football ground the car park was full of supporters cars when we returned to the hotel on the Saturday afternoon. We understand several supporters gather regularly in the sports bar for drinks before attending the match and that the hotel allow them to leave their cars in the car park while they watch the football.
