Location! To many things to complain about, my suggestion is to pay a little more money and stay somewhere else. Unfortunately its run by kids who have no care about the place or job.

When returning to hotel at 2302 in the evening was refused a drink at the bar. Would expect better service from a supposed 'hotel'. Breakfast staff obviously inexperienced, and on several occasions had to be asked to replenish items, eg marmalade.

Good value, pleasant staff, good complimentary breakfast. Noisy throughout the night as guests were coming and going. Room a little small and basic, but comfortable enough.

Staff really helpful and a very nice breakfast. Dissappointed that the bar closed at 2300hrs sharp, no allowance for residence to stay on for a further drink.

The staff were all extremely pleasent and efficient. Dinner was good value, reasonably priced, unlike many pub/hotels. Breakfast was varied and well presented. Overall the hotel was extremely good value and if, as we hope, we need to be in the area again, we won't bother looking for anywhere else. Room was clean, perhaps a little impersonal, but for the price it was fine. No complaints!

I've stayed at Old English Pub hotels before and they tend to be much the same as far as room quality and food in the bar. Alround I had a good experience and the atmosphere in the pub was good and breakfast was ample and hot. Plenty of free parking and the Wi-Fi works well and staff were helpful during my stay.Good value for money worth giving it a go.

it is right next to railway station and trains from london every 30 mins. The staff are probably the hotels best asset especially a lady called nichola at breakfast. Though not luxurious the rooms are very clean and have everything you need. I have stayed at better hotels with not so good staff. All at the raven very pleasant and helpful.I will stay here for my next trip.
