Had long wait for breakfast and evening meal
the staff were welcoming, the room was clean and large, the bed was very lovely-no bad back when i woke up.food was great and good selection for breakfast.the room was also nice and warm as we stayed in jan, planning our next trip now
the free wifi kept cutting out-thats the only thing i could fault
Comfortable room, excellent bar and dining facilities. Lots of country charm. Delicious breakfast included. Really friendly and helpful staff.
Very slow service at breakfast.
Staff are pleasant, chatty and welcoming. Had a nice pubby feel to it and you can fit in like a local, Marvellous.
Our room was spacious and had a large comfy bed , was not disturb at all by any noise in the night. Staff all friendly and polite meal in the restaurant was very good. Would stay again lovely hotel and bar.
Had to book a time for breakfast and cooked breakfast could have been hotter.
Lovely old pub good breakfast
The whole staff were wonderful, from Marie and her two colleagues on the front desk to Jess and Laurent in the restaurant. We loved being treated like family and the fact that the accommodation and food were wonderful. The hotel has been refurbished since we were last there great job all round.
The fact that Wi-Fi would come and go in the downstairs area.
The location - just off the M1 - is excellent for anyone visiting Sheffield on business. The décor is very modern and recent without being over trendy so that the hotel has a welcoming aspect to it. I ate dinner at the hotel and it was so good that I returned for lunch the next day between customer meetings. At £ 45 including an excellent cooked to order breakfast (after the VAT has been claimed back) the value is nothing short of excellent.
The staff are very welcoming. The pub is handy next door. Modern looking, neutral décor. Comfortable bed.
When I arrived at my room the hotels clean linen was piled out side my room, not a pleasant sight really. The bathroom wasn't spotless, the sink and sink area just needs a little bit more attention from the cleaning staff. The room was very cold on arrival, but once the heating was turned on it didn't take long to warm up. The shower was, well not a shower, a very poor excuse really, the shower head was broke so I couldn't adjust it. The tea and coffee making facilities are hidden away in the wardrobe, I've never known this in a hotel and found this a little bizarre. The food in the bar was OK, not really worth the money though, slightly disappointed as it used to be fantastic.
Room very clean, bathroom very clean, hotel very clean, staff very helpful and friendly (especially the young lady who served breakfast and generally busied herself keeping the place so clean and tidy), tasty beers on offer and a great breakfast selection - very good all round.
Still thinking but nothing comes to mind ......
The bar closes at eleven, even for guests, OK, not a tragedy.
The room was excellent with queen sized beds
We had a meal the batter was well over cooked on the fish and the breakfast was cold shame the food lets it down
There were enough staff to cope with the numbers of customers in the restaurant, however service was very poor. Breakfast was a shambles, 25 minutes to order food a further 35 to receive it. When it finally arrived the English breakfast was over cooked, the eggs benedict inedible we are still waiting for our toast. They blamed the four inches of snow for this service, we travelled from Manchester to Worksop and then on to Todwick, experiencing no problems.
Reception staff were very helpful. Catering staff were good ? chef.
Room telephone did not work. When towels were left5 on towel rail they were not changed Due to portion control, do not be late for breakfast, if so limited choice.
Comfy bed, nice room, clean everywhere
Shut bar at 9 when its supposed to be open till 11 so we had to go to bed early on Boxing Day. Very annoyed and disappointed. In the morning went to breakfast and had no buffet choice even though we were promised it.
No Hot Water in the morning. Nothing, no even luke warm.
Enjoyed the comfort of the beds and a good breakfast.
There was no hot water as the pilot light has gone out so we had to wash in cold water which was very inconvenient.
Easy check in and room was comfortable
food was distinctly average
Fantastic stay everything was brilliant..food, room, staff, all brilliant. Thank you we will be returning
Bed too soft for us
Wedding room very well prepared Comfortable clean room
Brealfast too cold No gluten free bread
The family room we stayed in was clean and modern. The hotel itself was certainly not lacking in charm, whilst the hotel staff were very efficient and extremely helpful. I would recommend this hotel to business people or families alike (having said that, I hope it doesn't get too busy otherwise I won't be able to book a room there when I need one) I wouldn't want to have to stay anywhere else when visiting family in the area.
Although this was the first time we have stayed here, I have already booked another couple of nights just after Christmas. There was nothing that I didn't like about the hotel or service we recieved.
