The food in the Restaurant was very good & the person on Reception was very helpful & welcoming. Excellent location. The Manager of the Restaurant we found to be most unfriendly, cold, unwelcoming & always ready to blame anyone else when things went wrong. However, having said that the waitress at our table was very pleasant. We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel but couldn't honestly say that it was value for money compared to other establishments. |

The staff were friendly. Even though the restaurant was extremely busy a table was found in about 10 minutes. |

Big, comfortable bed with crisp, clean sheets. Pub atmosphere and food were good. The bathroom needs refurbishing-mould around bath and quite dated. |

The two evening meals for £9,95 were excellant value for money and the breakfast was very good. The staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms extremely comfortable clean and warm. |

The fact that you could eat in and not have to worry about driving The bathroom needed urgent renovation and the hot tap leaked and flooded floor every time we used it. No main bathroom light it was broken. The tea making facilities needed a tray to make tea on and room lacked a mini fridge for bottled water or cold drinks. |

The rooms are clean and tidy , they are also very warm, the beds are really big and comfortable, some of the bathrooms are in need of some minor refurbishment.the breakfast is very good .the food in general is very good ,the restaurant/ breakfast area is in need of some refurbishment , the breakfast area in a morning is very cold the heating system needs updating |

Positioned in a convenient location for a business visit with open fires and a pleasant old pub atmosphere for an overnight visit. Canned music in the bar area was a little loud. On a previous visit there was no early morning hot water due to a boiler failure. The room rate was subsequently reduced. |

Das Frühstück war prima und reichhaltig. Es war nur ein Handtuchset im Twinbedroom. Nachts gab es mehrfach laute Motorengeräusche direkt vor dem Fenster bis Mitternacht. |
