It's a great location and always a reasonable price plus the breakfast is outstanding and people always friendly Never had this problem before with any of the other rooms (I have stayed many times - all successfully)) but room 202 was cold even with the radiator on full blast, and inevitably even colder in the night when the hearings off. There's a cold draught coming from somewhere but I couldn't locate the source

Excellent location just next to Richmond Bridge within about 10 minutes' walk to Richmond Park and the railway station. Excellent public transport connections close by. Very friendly and helpful staff are always available. Satisfactory breakfasts with the Times newspaper available while eating. We were able to leave luggage till the evening on our day of departure. Free Internet access is unavailable for laptop pc users, preventing us from accessing our bank account, checking transport times and purchasing tickets for transport and shows, and checking our e-mails. This gave us a feeling of being totally cut off from the world. In 2011 we find this attitude to Internet access miserly and in future would tend to avoid hotels without free Internet access. Our room was rather small but maybe this was because we specifically requested a room at the back away from any street noise. This did not bother us very much.

Superbly located for the heart of Richmond, Surrey (so expect some street noise), by the expensive standards of this pricey town this little gem - more budget than boutique - will keep you safe and warm overnight, provides a reasonable 'continental' breakfast so is superb value for money. Some rooms could be bigger and factor in car park costs some small distance away unless you're v lucky. No lift.

I've stayed a number of times. All the rooms and common parts have now been repainted, so it's smart. The location by Richmond Bridge is excellent. Didn't get breakfast this time (needed to be away early for work) but that's always excellent too. Price very good It seems churlish to mention anything but as the shower runs off separate hot and cold taps for the bath it's very difficult to hit the right temperature

The area in Richmond is magnificent, really enjoyed the atmosphere of the place. The breakfast included in the package could have been a little bit better. The selection wasn't brilliant.

Convenient location for Richmond centre. It is basic but comfortable There is no lift, so if you are on the top floor it is quite a trek up and down

Breakfast was delicious with fruit salad, breakfast room stylish - location and price ratio excelent for us since it was important to stay in Richmond Poor watercloset capacity; noise around the hotel from nearby bar at night; noisy work of water machine; horrible view from the window in one of the rooms

Richmond Park Hotel is very pleasant. It is a town centre location which makes it convenient for shops & restaurants, etc. There is a lively pub next door. The staff are friendly & helpful. The room was lovely & clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there.

Ideal location in Richmond with bus facilities nearby. View and walking path along the Thames. Restaurant options next door. Perfect for travel to Kew Gardens and to uk Archives. Quiet, clean, bathtub, kettle, coffee, tea, milk, biscuits, tv with bbc channels, very comfortable. Excellent extended continental breakfast with cereal, fresh fruit, ham, cheese and more.

We liked the position, close to a shopping area, restaurants, park ,underground and the river. We like to walk to had plenty of choices. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The breakfast offered lots of choice and was fresh. It was easy to get around on the tube if necessary and close to the airport if you want to take a taxi.

a very good quality continental breakfast, helpful lady on reception who allowed us to leave our bags for a couple of hrs on day of departure a hike up 3 flights of steep stairs with luggage; unbearably hot room - 27*C + despite window open all the time and fan blowing (it was not above 18-19* outside) v shabby furniture and uncomfortable bed

It was good value for money. Good breakfast. Personnel helpful if you made an effort. One can hear clearly when people are walking in the room beside and upside one's room (not tapping but squel of old floors). Room was a bit smelly, perhaps due to the wall-to-wall carpet? Personnel did not know too much about Richmond.

The hotel situation is ideal for a London visit, and a short walk to the Riverside with cafes and bars. Based in Richmond town but near lovely parks and places of interest. The hotel has pleasant staff, very comfortable clean rooms with coffee/tea makers and TV,s in rooms. Breakfasts were exceptionally good. Good value for the money

Good breakfast, good internet connection, friendly staff, good location (10 mins walk from Richmond station and Tube). Also great location for the lovely riverside path that's right behind the hotel, handy for jogging / cycle hire or just an evening stroll. And nice to have a bath as well as a shower. Last time, I stayed in a room facing the road and it was very noisy at night until the early hours of the morning. Asked for a rear-facing room this time and had no problems at all with noise. Only problem was the 3 flights of stairs with no lift, a bit tricky if you have heavy luggage. Not a problem for me, but could be for some people. Digital/cable TV would also be a bonus, but not vital.
